so what are advanced highers
Basically standard grades are GCSE's Highers are slightly above AS levels (possibly equal but the opposite of you it is my understanding of the English system that is limited, AS levels are the first year of A-levels right?) and Advanced highers are A-levelsBought, not Brought0 -

AS (1st yr) = Highers
A2 (2nd yr) = Advanced Higherssmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Standard Grades are just above GCSEs; Highers just above AS level; Advanced Highers are just above A2 levels.
That's why if you are hoping to apply to an English or Welsh university you will need to do at least two AHs.0
