I have £800 saved in cosmos vouchers ready to book a holiday, but on now looking at the terms it stated you can only use £300pp instead of £400pp!!
So we have got £200 in vouchers we can't use!
Can someone please help and advise on wether I can get a refund in the excess vouchers?
Many thanks in advance0 -
Hi all
Just a quick rant, i used be such a big fan of the clubcard deals
But now frankly i think most of them are a waste of time being on the scheme.
I just sent back £1200 in Cosmos vouchers because the price they gave me over the phone for using the vouchers was a £1000 more than they were selling it online ????????. So what's the point of Tesco's having them on the scheme, Surely they don't think were that stupid that were not gonna check the prices without the vouchers.
And today i decided to use some vouchers for a weekend break to Poole in Dorset in july.
1st i rang Thistle hotels and they have rooms available on the 15th/16th of july BUT not if i'm using Clubcard vouchers ?
2nd i rang old english inns for the Antelope hotel in poole and guess what " yes we have rooms available but not for clubcard deals.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THESE DEALS ?0 -

Was it easy to exchange your cosmos vouchers back?
Did they exchange them for vouchers or points and was it easily enough done or was it hard work?
We have around £800 but half is mine and half is my partners, would you know if the points/vouchers go back on just one card or are they split between the two?
Ps I feel your pain with the above for booking an hotel room, been done like that before...why have the vouchers for them if you can't use them!?0 -
I have to say that I'm glad it wasn't only me.
We battled our way in order to secure tokens before the £4 per £1 in Tesco vouchers ended.
Our surprise and dismay came when we contacted the Cosmos holidays people and realized that the real saving was exactly £38 for £510 worth of tokens.
So basically, our £126 Tesco vouchers that we could have used for shopping, were worth £38...how is that a "reward"?. To me it is a CON!!!.
We found the same holiday to Skiathos in Greece via Thompson exactly £36 pounds more expensive that what was offered by Cosmos with the Tesco tokens deal. So to sum up, essentially I could use the vouchers for shopping, saving me £126 and with those, pay the extra £36 to Thompson and be £90 better off...it is incredible...
Conclusion: do not use Cosmos under any circumstance and check the "reward" that you want to use prior exchanging the Tesco vouchers for tokens. My tokens are in their way back to Tesco to have my points back and therefore £126 of real discount in the holidays. If it is too good to be true, possibly that's the case.:A0 -
Just read all the comments above, but when I go to the Tesco Clubcard/Cosmos page, it tells me to book online - the prices that are shown don't seem to be too ridiculous and only slightly more than the other prices I've had from other operators on the same dates. I'm struggling to find availability for our dates though, so I'm wondering if they've changed their system now. Anybody got recent experience? Thanks!0

I have been looking to book a 2 week holiday to Cyprus for 5 adults in June.
I usually book a holiday each year using my Tesco Rewards with Cosmos. This year, by chance, I went through booking the holiday via the Tesco link and also directly with Cosmos. The difference in cost was £720. This means that if I used less than £720 worth of vouchers, I would actually be paying more and using my vouchers than if I booked with Tesco directly. I think this is very misleading.
I called Tesco and they were aware of the fact, but just said that Cosmos can't give 2 discounts!
More interestingly, when I called Cosmos, they explained that the reason for the difference was that if I use the vouchers I lose the online booking discount.
NOW FOR THE GOOD BIT. They then proceeded to offer me a deal and reduced the cost to me by £513, provided I booked today.
I haven't booked yet and it is a good discount, although still more expensive than booking directly, but I just have a bad taste in my mouth about Tesco and Cosmos, as I feel it is misleading, as it isn't stated anywhere.0 -
Came across this thread when looking for information about using tesco vouchers for booking holidays.
It seems that cosmos is not such a great deal! Has anyone booked a siblu or thomson al fresco holiday using deals recently?
Both holiday companies now have a direct tesco link to price up, and in the case of siblu, i think you may even be able to book online.
The thing that puzzles me a bit though is that the tesco booking still shows a discount beside the price. Does this mean that the discount has to be added back on, or that because you are pricing up/booking through the tesco site, than the main price is the price you pay.
It's not at all clear!
I will phone them if needs be, but just wondering if anyone on here knew?0 -
Go to tesco-rewards.cosmos.co.uk and this gives you the price paying with tesco vouchers.I managed to get 2 people half board to Croatia 4 star in October13 total £622 booking in December 12 not a lot of difference in price to the normal price, Paid £600 in vouchers with £22 to pay.0

Thanks. That's a great deal i hadn't considered coatia before but have been looking on the website, and there are good bargains to be had.
Half board for three of us for around 1,100 for october half term.
We are all sorted for holidays this year, but should have £300 in tesco vouchers by this august mailing , and will be able to book as soon as it is possible for the following year. If we could get crotia for october '14 using £900, the acual cash outlay for the balance would be minimal.
Some good prices for zante in greece as well..0
