its a months dial up, just mainly browsing forums and the odd email?
Unless you are uploading large files, either via a on-line backup, photo uploader, or some other uploader, your figures are very odd. You appear to have uploaded 13 times more data than you've downloaded. Did you get the figures mixed up?
For general web browsing, forums and emails, you'd normally see a larger download size, such as a few hundred meg or so, but only a small percentage of uploads, as essentially the other data you are "uploading" are the website requests, any posts you make, and any emails you send, everything else, about 90% of your traffic will be download not upload.
E.g. just looking at some recent stats on a connection I know is only used for web browsing and email (with no significant uploading), download one month was 1.975Gb and upload was 0.209Gb (i.e. roughly: 1975Mb download and 209 Mb upload.
Uploading, from most ISPs tends not to contribute or affect your monthly allowance, certainly not from Zen anyway, who are my ISP of choice, as their connection and service are the best I've experienced. But many others operate a similar policy, because upload speeds over broadband are slow in comparison to the faster downloads.
PS once you have broadband you'll use it more, so factor in that too! 2Gb per month for a standard user, not heavily downloading videos etc will be fine by the way.0 -
What is the best meter to use for PCs? The lighter on CPU the better. Also is there a Java-based meter to use on mobiles??Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

            Hi
There's a NetMeter website.
Maybe go there and check you've got the latest version.
Also there's a forum, perhaps others have had similar errors.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
For a quick check for your current "session", after you have connected, double click the network / connection icon in the system tray (next to the clock, looks like two computers one on top of the other) and watch the figures whilst you surf for an hour or so, you'll see the upload figure is low, but the download figure is much higher.0

Any chance the upload figure's sposed to be in Kb?The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.
