My T-Mobile N73 Saga

If I had any hair...well, you know the rest.
I've been with T-Mobile on a £25(20 with discount) Flext plan since October. In that time my Nokia N73 has been a glitchy little !!!!!!. The 1st one I had only woke me up in the morning when it felt like it. Can't have that, can we? So I get on to them and they're only too happy to send a new one out next day via courier - result!
Well, the second one was no better. Same fault of crashing when the alarm is set and the phone is off. So I ring T-Mobile again with a heavy heart. All I want is a phone that works. They send me on various wild goose chases to and from T-Mobile shops to speak to morons who ask me if I've tried a reset etc. "Yes, I've tried all that."
I ask why I can't upgrade the firmware to anything newer than last january's rubbish version. Blank faces in reply. Sigh...
So, I ring t-mobile again and they tell me they can't send me another phone and basically imply it's something I'm doing and ask me to set an alarm with them holding my hand. Losing my patience now, but keeping my sense of humour! Of course I can set an alarm and of course it doesn't come on. So they ask me ring Nokia! Nokia tell me the firmware probably isn't working. Never!
So I ring TM back and they ask me to take it into a shop to be sent off and they'll give me a loan phone. Ok, I've been back and forth a few times now and wonder the shop couldn't have said this. So I take it in and they give me a crap Motorola loan phone, but it'll only be for "10 to 14 days" the slightly impatient salesman says. Mmmm, ok...
Anyway, 14 days passes with no text to tell me it's ready so I ring the shop. They basically tell me to go away as I can't prove I'm me! Now I'm vexed.
I ring TM and they calm me down and call the shop for me to find the guy says it'll take up to 28 days to come back and not the 10-14 they lied, sorry, told me. By now I don't want the bleedin' thing - I want a phone that works and isn't this pants loan phone and I want compensation. They offer me 3 months at half price which barely covers my expenses and the promise they'll "seewhat they can do" if it comes back and it's still not working.
SO....
today I pick up my phone after 5 WEEKS (and only cos I rang TM to find out where it was, so they never contacted me as arranged) to be told the Nokia bods "thought it was a software problem and have reinstalled the firmware". This is something I did with both phones (remember it's still version 3.0704.1.0.1 which is over a year old). It took me an hour total. It took them 5 WEEKS!
So now I'm here and I feel a bit frazzled. Where do I stand? All I want is a good phone and I think the very least they can do is give me an upgrade to a Viewty or Samsung G600. Do you think I deserve that?
Thanks for reading my crazy rant!
