girona is not near barcelona city itself, closet beach area is lloret de mar. i stayed in a hotel called the don juan was very nice and cheap. you can find it on google, .good luck

Weve just got flights to gerona and were paying £94 for a weeks mobile home hire on the coat via Eurocamp ( saving a massive £210 off the brochure cost)
Im just about to post about their early season bargains on a thread of its own

Might be cheapest looking for a few night in similar acommodation if you arent bothered about staying in a hotel. Their mobile homes are brilliant quality

Yes, we booked car hire online. £66 for 7 days renault clio for 2 drivers.
Collecting from the airport next morning. Its too late an arrival to go anywhere really so late!
