Retaliation isn't really a grown up thing now is it, mdbarber?

They say I might as well face the truth.
That I'm just too long in the tooth,
Oh I'm an O.A.P. and weak-kneed
But I have not yet quite gone to seed......0 -
It's not too late, why not send it back?
ICE will find the unit faulty and refund all you paid and the courier fee.
Surely this would negate the whole purpose of this charade? Walter Mitty's day in court.
I honestly don't think MDBarber knows what he wants, he has categorically stated that my assumption that he wanted them to pay for the return up front was incorrect, that threw up another assumption for me, that he was happy to send it back and be reimbursed at a later date but we wouldn't be here if that was the case. That leaves 2 options, either he wants to keep the faulty unit and get a refund or wants them to arrange the courier(sounds awfully like paying up front) to return the item, which to them may or may not be faulty, they wont know until they have it back. They are under no obligation under the SOGA to pay for the return up front of a potentially faulty item (and as I said above, them arranging delivery is effectively paying up front for it.)
Clearly (to everyone but one person it would seem) the fairest and best solution to this whole affair was what ICE offered, send the item back, if it's faulty they refund and reimburse, MSE obviously misses out on a great thread, but MD and ICE are smiling having sorted it all out and remained friends (in fact the head of ICE is considering naming his first son Barber) MD, since his real interest is in a working stereo doesn't even accept the refund, he simply asks for a replacement unit.Bought, not Brought0 -

see again that's where you are wrong and making up assumptions, the SOGA simply says I am under no obligation to return it, the opposite of that=it's up the icarexpress what they do not me, I really couldn't be bothered they have dictated the course of events since refusing to meet their obligations under SOGA.
The unit is no longer any use to me even if repaired, why because I bought another my gf had to wait two months for it.
Still everyone answering the unspoken question
ps the comment about my age was a joke simply reflecting the obvious mental age of dmg at 80+, but again many assumptions were made, I know its hard but try and stick to facts.click here to achieve nothing!0 -
