Cheapest mobile to use with 3 sim?

Hi
I'm after a cheap mobile to use with a 3 sim card. The phone only needs to be able to receive calls as it's an old spare number that many friends/contacts have.
Has anyone spotted a decent deal for a 3 mobile, or a mobile that can easily be unlocked to use the 3 sim on? Really only looking to pay as little as possible.
I've looked on the 3 site but the cheapest appers to be around £30 ( )
Cheers and have a good day!

The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Try your local Freecycle site - there are often FREE mobile phones on offer or if allowed you could post a wanted...

and navigate to your local group.0 -
Thanks - that's a good suggestion..... but I'm a bit uncomfortable asking for it free when I can pay for it.
But thanks anyway. The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
I must be getting old!
I've just realised that I should have asked for the cheapest mobile that can be easily unlocked to take a 3 sim??????
Would that work???The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
If you do buy a phone to use with 3 make sure that it is a 3G phone or else they will cut you off. According to the T&Cs, I think you are supposed to use only phones supplied by 3, but if you use a 3G enabled phone you should get away with it. I would check this if I were you.0

If you are only going to use it for incoming calls you could change to a PAYG taffiff on Virgin, say, maybe get a free or recon fone for under £20 and port the number across.0

Definately ask on freecycle. Someone asked on our local group this week and as I've got 4 '3' phones in the dresser drawer (as I'm sure lots of people have) I offrered her one, but she didn't need it as lots of other people offered. So if you need one - I've still got 4!0
