I understand why Amber would get excited, but would she have to know you were going away? Would she suss it from packing, cases etc?
Oh yes she would, she's a smart cookie in that way. Hubby just sent a text to say, if we don't go they might bill us anyway for the outstanding because it clearly hasn't been cancelled. That would totally suck, not going and still getting the bill, if we go and have to pay then at least we had the bloomin trip.
I've sent a message to my best mate who happens to be a business sales manager in the travel industry, she'll let me know what's what... I hope.:A

Having a depressing day! Got an email from an ex-boyfriend who has been promoted in his job and another former Uni friend followed it up with "...that means we're the only 2 never to have been promoted out of 80". Which was then followed with, "They're all married too - that means you're the only one who isn't married yet".
Like I need reminding!
Yours the skint spinster skank!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Toto... how did you pay the deposit... do you think they're going going to try taking the balance from that?

Ahh, you're not alone.. that's one of the reasons I avoid Friends Reunited and the like these days - everyone is either doing flashy jobs and/ or travelling the world and/ or 'wonderfully happily' married with lots of wonderful kids.
On the positive side, at least the likes of us have less stressful jobs (in theory :rotfl:) and our freedom...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Well, I paid on my debit card. But, I never leave much in my current account, I transfer everything to my savings account and then just transfer little bits back here and there as I need it (more interest that way like a good MSEer) So, there's no way they'd be able to take the money out unless I make a transfer. Besides, the balance should have been paid in december so they would have tried then I assume.
BTW this was our original wedding trip, if you remember we were supposed to get married in florida this month. Thank god I didn't book the actual wedding, I'd hate to do all of that again:A

Right, decision made, we're going
Who know's what'll happen at the airport but even if we have to pay the ballance at least we'll get the trip, my worry is that they'll discover the mistake and bill us anyway. It'd be amazing if they don't though
of course girls, this means I won't be able to come to Bunny's party because we are going on 23rdit just isn't in my destiny to get to one of these do's is it?
