Nici - you were asking for ideas for a baby - If you buy Mother & baby mag (price £2.10) there is a free bath puzzle on it. Also inside there are some books to send for one of the books is free -you pay £1.15 p & p. Or there are other books that cost £2.50 but p & p is free.
Other idea for a free stocking filler - saw this on another thread but can't remember where so apologies to the member for not giving credit to their idea
a personilised bookmark - would need you or someone you know to have a laminator (if that's the right word)0 -
Also just going thru all the leaflets in the mother & baby mag and you can send off for 6 free disney books with a mickey mouse bookrack, you also receive 2 trial books for 7 days. You must remember to return the trial books (named on my leaflet as being Beauty & the Beast and Finding Nemo but please double check) or you WILL be charged for them. Your free gifts ie the 6 books and the bookrack are yours to keep.

Yep me again - and also from the mother & baby mag
a leaflet for Vertbaudert
If you order from their catalogue you get a free fabric aquarium and fishy friends and also free delivery. If your order is worth £15 you also get £5 off. If this is too expensive I have a suggestion- show the catalogue to people who buy for your kids and often don't know what to get (eg grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents) and suggest they buy something from the catalogue(within their price range of course) .

If at first you don't succeed (I'm very new to this and unsure if I am doing it right).
For anyone looking for easy craft presents kids can make, try these.
Book floss- take a length of very thin ribbon or embroidery silk and knot the end. Thread a few pretty beads on (like the ones found in jewellry kits for little girls), then knot again to hold them in place. Leave about 10 inches of ribbon free then repeat so you have matching beads each end. Works like a book mark with beads hanging out top and bottom of book. Perfect for teacher/granny/friend-anyone who likes to read.
Alternatively take a bit of velvet ribbon, either sew or glue on sequins etc, and put a bit of velcro each end. Instant (and cheap) childs choker to match any colour outfit.Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.0 -
How about getting a cheap bath or car sponge & cutting into star/heart/cresent moon shapes etc for sponge painting?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Thanks for all the great ideas - I am just starting to think ahead for Xmas and don't want to break my new, hard won money saving habit. I've now got lots of things to try & plenty of time to send for free offers, so it will cut the stress levels too!!0

Please can you tell me which Shrek 2 website you used ?0

So many great money saving ideas - so little time. Thanks all for these great ideas.
I don't really have any tips to post myself - which is why I'm on here pinching all your ideas!
Have to say though, I've saved a fortune so far on the Woolworths and Boots 3 for 2 deals.
I also find a lot of little gems in Asda. their stock seems to change very quickly, so I always seem able to pick up a cheap toy on the 'reduced' shelf. The same applies for the George clothing lines. I now choose what I want to buy, then go back 2 weeks later and pick it up at a reduced price! I wouldn't recommend this trick if you see something you just have to have though, because the chances are, everyone else will have the same idea!
