Top Class Manchester City Centre Hotel Wanted, Suggestions Plz

Hi, i'm after a city centre hotel in Manchester ideally with some class! treating the Mrs for Valentines.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Budget is upto £150 for 1 night - Thursday night.

The Lowry is available for £125, but that doesn't include breakfast or parking.

Lowry is very nice but not central, it needs to be because i'm off to London the morning after!

I will have a look at the Hilton though.

Are you thinking about the correct Lowry?! You can get the tram to Picadilly, or even splash out on a taxi!

If you really want to impress, you need to avoid the Hilton, or any of the bigger chain hotels.

i would say the palace hotel. i took hubby for his 40th and we had a suite, it was lovely. check out the website

The Hilton is one of the better Hiltons in the UK but is still a Hilton. Stayed there twice and found it nice but not great.

When I am in Manchester (and Kylie isn't in town) then the only place to stay is the Mal Maison. The price is right but it might be too late to get a room

Macdonald Hotels have opened a new one in Manchester - its at the back of Piccadilly Station - a bit pricey not sure if your budget will cover it or you could try Malmaisson again a short walk away from the station towards Piccadilly gardens.

Malmaison is fine if you want an overpriced run of the mill hotel room.

The OP wants something special ...

Don't mean to sound harsh, just speaking from my experience as a woman who has been romanced in Manchester! x

Edit: Just been told that the Radisson is very nice ... and to avoid the Great St John St ...

Stayed in the Brittania central Manchester, Portland St.
5 mins from Oxford St and Piccadilly stations.

Very nice.

Sachas is nice to. Possibly nicer.
