Can i switch phones on Pay Monthly?

I've just applied to 02 for a pay monthly 12 month contract. It's £19.00 a month with 50 calls and 500 texts with a free phone.

If i don't end up liking the free new phone that they send me with my contract, can i switch my sim card from the free phone into my old phone and sell the new one? Meaning will 02 find out if i'm using an old phone rather then the one they send me?

I've seen the free phone i've picked out on reviews and have had a look at it's features, but what if i'm not happy with the phone?

You can sell it if you like but you will still be liable to pay the £19 line rental and any call charges for a minimum of 12 months

Yes but will the deal still be able to work in my old phone? I was told that a pay monthly sim will not work in any other phone if it's a contract one  I do like the new phone i've picked i just have to see if i like it better then the one i have now ;)

Yes, the deal should work fine if using your old phone. I'm with Orange and after upgrading and selling my new phone, I put my new SIM back into my old phone and have been using it ever since. Orange do know that I'm using a different phone, as they can tell from the IMEI number of the phone, but they don't seem to mind!

Have you considered going for a cashback deal? CPW are giving a Nokia 7600 with 12 months free line rental, via cashback. They give you £120 after the first month automatically (no need to send them a bill), so if the worst comes to the worst and you forget to send in your 4th, 8th and 12th bills, it will end up costing you only £16.25 per month, for 500 mins and 100 txts to any network, anytime.

Me and my family have ordered four of them :) I'd seriously consider it if I were you.
