I used to just have 2 when I only had the expensive ones - seemed to work ok - but I figure if they're 50p each - then the more the merrier so currently have 6.0

lexa34, we are not on economy 7 and we have cheap and expensive rate. we are with e-on on normal tarrif and heating. the times and rates of charge are on our meter. my aunt also does all her laundry during the night too as cheaper and she is in essex while i am in suffolk. check with your energy provider, you may find you are wasting moneyA happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

The dryer balls were back in stock in Watford today, so I bought 2 packs to try. I only dry hand towels and bath towels, and my bath towels are huge, 150x200cm, and each one take around 80 mins to dry. It will be interesting to see if I can reduce the drying time.0
