Dryer balls £1

Hi
Went to poundland today and they had those dryer balls (pack of 2) for £1. They didn't have them in stock at my local pound land last time they were mentioned on MSE - so if you missed out last time, you might just find they're in stock again. They are the sort that you put in your tumbler to soften and reduce drying time. I've got 6 of them bumping around in there now - make a lot of noise!!

Lots of easter bargains too - pretty small plastic fillable eggs for easter egg trail, great easter bonnets, pretty chicks in baskets,etc...

Bought a water whistle for children too (fill up whistles with water in bath) - selling for around £5 elsewhere

I'm literally in floods of tears here. I paid £10 for a pair at tescos and a week later my tumble dryer broke down and had to be thrown out

Don't be in floods of tears - you'll save huge amounts of electricity and the consequential environmental destruction by not using a tumble dryer.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

I bought a pack of 2 from Tesco in October for £3 and they were useless. They ended up with holes in them where the rubber disintigrated.
I paid a bit more and got 2 from Lakeland and so far they are great - a lot heavier and more sturdy.
  • Well I thought it was a bargain for talcum powder :rotfl:

Were there ClubCard points with that?

Personally I just use a towel to get dryer balls.

You're right. I now hang my stuff on a clothes horse, the radiator or weather permitting, on the washing line.
I've decided not to buy another one now.
    Anyone wants some dryer balls?!!:D

  • I used to tumble dry everything, and I mean everything. Now I use my dryer once in a blue moon to get bedding dry the same day if the weather's changed and I can't get it out on the line. Our leccy bill (and carbon footprint) has dropped massively. I had no idea they were so energy hungry!

I've never not had a tumble dryer so it'll be interesting to see the difference it makes to my energy bills especially cos the gits have raised their prices!!
