Ringtone to phone via pc

I've downloaded a ringtone for my grandson's mobile. I've plugged the cable into the pc & phone but I've got no idea what to do next.
Help would be appreciated as he goes home tonight.

Does it appear as a drive when you plug it in and look in 'my computer' ?

Theres no extra drive shownbut when I connect it to the usb port it shows CDMA on the desktop & telle me the hardware is ready to use.

If you can't see it as a drive, you'll probably need some special transfer software.

Another alternative is memory cards.. does it have a card, do you have a card reader? Does your PC have an infra red or bluetooth adaptor?

Yes his phone has a memory card. I have a Bluetooth usb adaptor but I've never been too sure what it does.!! Can't you tell I'm not at all computer savvy.

Well you could try to send it by bluetooth.. IT's a little bit tricky (you set your PC to recieve a file, then try to send it from your phone). Look for the icon in the bottom left of your screen (blue circle with white logo). Right click it and see what options you have.

It's a fairly old phone and from what I can find online, not easy to put files onto using the supplied software and cable
