Aiming for a No Spend Christmas 2012!0 -
I seriously don't get how you make money on Ciao, I joined, but then deleted my account because I didn't get it ( I get most things!!). Is it good to make money from or not?0
-
No Sophie, I'm not really getting it either with Ciao. The site's not very user friendly and my account is currently at 16p!!! I will continue to copy and paste all my Dooyoo reviews over there though a few at a time and see what happens though. I think you only get paid if someone else rates your review, and you have to earn points . It's all a bit confusing.
Dooyoo and STP much easier!!0 -
At risk of sounding like a dizzy red head, I'm not keeping up with the ratings, apologies to those who have rated my reviews if I haven't read yours yet, my intentions are good!
I'm enjoying writing the reviews but work, kids, cooking, shopping etc seriously getting in the way!0 -
Hi, thanks Sarah
Yeh I'm the queen of bargain hunting! I love a bargain. Thanks for the ratings. Have done some of yours. Will be doing some more tomorrow. Only had time to write one review today (just posted it!), spent the rest of my time reading and rating. It's worth it though if we all rate each others, the pennies add up a bit quicker.0 -

Bview is great! For me, it's better than Dooyoo because the reviews don't need to be quite as long or in depth. You review local businesses that you know - shops, takeaways, or even places you've visited on holidays round the UK. Then for every 20 reviews, you email them to ask them to look over what you've done, and they send you a £10 Amazon voucher - usually within 24 hours.
I think the first 20 reviews you can do on spec (as it were) and then ask for a voucher - then you also have to ask to be allocated Super Reviewer status in order that you can go on and write more reviews and earn more vouchers - up to a maximum of £50 worth, I believe.
I hasten to add, my understanding of the £50 limit is only from reading this board so I may have got that wrong. If anyone has more or better info I'd be interested as I feel like the blind leading the blind here!
But to summarise, I prefer bview because I have found it quicker and easier to earn my vouchers - I'm still only half way to the first voucher on Dooyoo.
By the way, Jenny, thanks for reviewing me over on Dooyoo! Have reviewed you, too !0 -
Jenny, I forgot to say, if you want more info on bview, look at the thread titled '£10 Amazon voucher' - that's about bview.0

Have a couple of questions, people have said about posting your reviews up on Ciao as well as dooyoo.... is there any reason you've suggested writing no more than 2 reviews a day?
It's a year since I was active over on Ciao, but basically the reason you're advised not to post more than 2 a day is because people over there tend to stop reading and rating the reviews of people they consider to be "churning" out reviews. Hence, your earnings go down. It's just the etiquette of the site. As I recall there are some really useful reviews over there about the dos and don'ts of reviewing on Ciao. Most newbies don't stumble across them until someone tips them off, but have a look around the site and see if you can find them. Over a whole year I only wrote about 9 reviews but still made about £30 total from them, particularly as most of them got pay outs from the Premium Fund. Quality over quantity counts.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0
