    Hi all

great thread and some really useful tips - I have just started writing on Dooyoo and went in today to find I got a crown - wow!

will keep an eye out for some of the names and try to find your reviews!
Back to comping! July wins: Frylight August wins: Pixar DVD, Diesel Watch,£75 hamper brioche products September wins bath soak

Thanks to everyone who posts comps and help
  • Bview is great! For me, it's better than Dooyoo because the reviews don't need to be quite as long or in depth. You review local businesses that you know - shops, takeaways, or even places you've visited on holidays round the UK. Then for every 20 reviews, you email them to ask them to look over what you've done, and they send you a £10 Amazon voucher - usually within 24 hours.

I think the first 20 reviews you can do on spec (as it were) and then ask for a voucher - then you also have to ask to be allocated Super Reviewer status in order that you can go on and write more reviews and earn more vouchers - up to a maximum of £50 worth, I believe.
This offer is only on this month! It is a way of kick starting the website I guess - so you only have another week to wrtite reviews.
On the up side, I did 20 in the first day I found out about it, and emailed Simon who replied the following morning to ok me to continue - so I have got 2 vouchers already, I may go for another but I am working more on Dooyoo because of the variety - trouble with being DFW is that I don't shop much so there's not so much to review!
I would recommend it though because it is a useful site and Simon has been really nice and friendly. The reviews can be quick to do and as long as you are informative and check grammar, spelling etc you should be accepted.
    Sorry for being OT!

I'm appealing again to anyone who uses Ciao, how do you make money on it?!
I just rejoined so i'm going to see if I can figure it out, but any help is appreciated!
  • I have done some review work on restaurants my boyf took me to and the company paid me £10 each, I enjoyed doing it so its not too bad. Look out for the ads on gumtree for your area xx

    Hi Sophie

I'm still not entirely sure, but my account has gone up from 16p to 35p (wow!).

From what I can gather, you have to earn points and climb up the coloured points chart., so on your account it starts of white, then you move on to green and so on. If you click the coloured dot on your account, it explains it in more detail. The more points you get, the quicker you will move through the coloured dots and earn more money. You earn points by rating other reviews and by people reviewing yours.

Well, I think that's it anyway. If anyone can help me out too or tell me if I've got that totally wrong then any comments would be appreciated.

It's very slow compared with Dooyoo and the site is not as easy to navigate around. I am pasting all my Dooyoo reviews into Ciao,a few each day,and trying to rate a few reviews too, and just see how I get on over the next week. We can compare each others progress if you like, because I too am not entirely convinced you can earn much from it

On the plus side though, I received £30 Amazon vouchers from dooyoo today, they only took around 5 days too. Am only 400 points away from another tenner!

I've done very well and gained £30 of vouchers in just two weeks and most of it is just from taking the time to read other people's reviews.
I really love this site and have reccomended it to all my friends :)

    Evening all.

My head hurts from all the reading I have been doing today! But I'm nearly there for my £40 since May - really happy. Just waiting for dooyoo to put one of my many suggestions on so I can post the newest review! Can you all tell yet that we watch a lot of films in our house! It seems to be our hobby! Just wondering if I should let hubby loose on Dooyoo? Mmm I think I will keep him off and write the reviews myself - I prefer to see just how much is being earned lol! And he would spend all the vouchers before christmas! I'm really chuffed cos I'm almost half way to my target of £100 in amazon vouchers towards christmas presents. Last year I earned £60 but only about £30 of that went on the kids, the rest went on DH and his DVD's so this year it's all going on pressies for the kids as they are wanting more and more and more. This way it feels like we are getting the goods for nowt - I'm not spending money, just using the vouchers! Next year am going to aim for at least £200!

Thanks again to you all for reading and rating - I really appreciate it xx

No you don't get points for rating other people's reviews or for making comments, you only get points for writing reviews and for rating others. The more you rate though, the more your name will become familiar on the site, and the more likely that they will return the favour and rate yours so you get points

I don't coment on all reviews, but I tend to put comments on products that I like, or if the review is really good or if it is something that I might buy. I find that it's polite and friendly to put some comments on reviews rather than just clicking a rating each time and it doesn't take long to write a few words.

I think I'm having another senior moment, as I can't understand that.

You seem to be saying you don't get paid for rating other people's reviews, then saying you get paid for rating others. Am I missing something here? Can I get paid for rating something?
