    Hi all
I don't know about you, but I've only ever had 2 letters to post in a week, and only the top three rows of the page of labels they sent have been used. Being a good MiSEr I've been hanging onto the labels as I couldn't bear to throw them away, but couldn't find the

Ha ha ... I gave a little skip when I saw the spare labels ... I use mine to paste over envelopes to recycle ... I haven't bought a new envelope in over two years ...

Lol, using my labels for Ebay parcels - another little bonus as well as the stamps !

Slightly worried here now though, as I've looked at my jobs for next week and nothing is showing (no jobs listed) - does this mean i'm going to get the dreaded "we don't need you anymore" email? (am in week 3 btw)

  • Am I the only one who feels bad for their ever reliable and friendly postman every time I see the derogatory title of this thread?

    Maybe so.

I think it's a bit rough too. My Postie is very helpful and a nice man. He has taken time to stand up my planters when the wind got 'em and walks with my cat whenever stripy-bum is out n about. This is after I substantially increased his workload with freebies and internet shopping :D

    What a guy :T

I'd like to add I have no issues with my postie.. (although I wouldn't mind my mail before 3pm once in a while! BTW I don't live in the middle of nowhere either..), as has been mentioned earlier there are plenty of people with access to your mail before your postie even sees it... I'm in this for the free stamps, as it fits easily with me with a postbox 2min walk from my house and five.. yes five within 5mins walk of where I work..
  • Ive started doing this and got my stamps.

    I have a question:

I sell a few odd things on ebay. They generally cost about£1-2 to post. Does anyone use these stamps as payment of a larger amount than a first class letter? eg put several on at once to cover postage on a packet? The stamps dont say an amount on, they just say 1st.

Yes u can, the value of those marked first and second is the cost of them at the time they are used.

Today first and second are worth 34p and 24p, in early april they will be worth slightly more as stamp prices are going up. :(

...I sell a few odd things on ebay...

Here's a tip peaches - do you think if you sold anything more normal you might get some higher bids? :D

Mind you - if you have any friends who have odd balls you might be able to sell those too:
