I had an email back from them saying they were looking into it and would let me know when it was sorted.... Haven't heard anything yet (that was last Wednesday).
My second week's envelope came from them though, so I just plan to post everything as per the schedule and hope things get sorted soon!wins for 2008: £548.500 -

Can anyone help?
I have just signed up to this and this is my second lot to post, when I am booking in my received mail, it asks for an R number. I have looked on the info labels and it quotes R00 on both of them. I have tried inputting this, but it then asks for a five digit code. I cannot see this anywhere.
For the first lot I ticked the box that said I had no R number, and it told me to put a yellow sticker on it. I had already posted these so couldn't do it.
I also don't have any yellow stickers?
I have tried calling them today, but they aren't open until weekdays, I have also tried to look on the site, but it won't let me access any training, or demos.
Anyone any ideas what I should do?
Thanks0 -
the online training has never worked for anybody i don't think.if you don't have any yellow stickers (they didn't send me any till i emailed them) then just sent the mail back and write the number on the cellophane ( assuming it came in it).you can order stationary ( yellow stickers).just click on request stationary along the top when you've logged in.it's next to daily tasks0

For those of you that cannot access the training:
Royal Mail Online Postal Survey Overview InstructionsThank you for agreeing to take part in the postal survey. In this pack you will find the stationery you require for your
first week and 18 1st class stamps for your own use. We request that you read through these instructions for
information on all your tasks as a panellist. In the first couple of weeks you will only be asked to send items and
enter the sent information online (further information can be found in this document section 1 to 6). We will send
you an e-mail when you will start to receive items in a few weeks (further information on receiving items can be
found in section 7).Private Sender/Receiver Panellists1. Pack ContentsEach week you will receive a pack containing:• A posting schedule, giving posting details for each test item you have to post that week.• Postage paid envelopes to return test items you receive on a weekly basis.• Address labels, barcode labels and R number inserts. Yellow labels (provided on a bi-monthly basis).• Test items.Due to the nature of the survey, it is important that Royal Mail do not know where our panellists are
located. Please do not tell anyone related to Royal Mail that you are participating in this survey.
2. Test Items and your Posting ScheduleThe posting schedule in your pack should be checked daily and shows:• the test items that you need to send each day• how to prepare them• the date, time and location to post themWhat you have to do – Posting• Prepare the test item ready to post.• Post the test item according to the date, time and location listed on your posting schedule.• Complete the online posting information on a daily basis.
Please call the Helpline immediately if any of the information on your schedule does not match the items included
in your pack. You should not post at any posting point NOT shown on your schedule (see point 4 for posting point
information). In case we have a query, you may find it helpful to note down the date and time you actually posted
your items on your schedule. Note: If you are unable to post test items on the scheduled date, please post the item
on the same day of the next week. Please record this date accurately online.3. How to Prepare and Post the Test ItemsIn each pack you will receive pairs of labels (showing address details and Reference code) which need to be
attached to the test items. The Reference code is a unique code for identifying individual items. For each test
item on your schedule you will find information regarding the envelope type, address type and postage details
which need to be used.
Follow the instructions by:• placing an address label on the correct envelope or;• selecting the appropriate pre-addressed envelope, or;• handwriting the receiver’s address on the correct envelope.
Then;• place the Reference code label on the item insert, put in the envelope and seal.4. Where to Post and Completing the Posting Point InformationRoyal Mail request that the test items are posted from as many ‘posting points’ (post boxes, post offices and sorting
offices) as possible. Each post box and post office you use MUST be located within your home postcode area (e.g.
postcode B3 2RT can post anywhere in the B postcode area only). The more posting points you can use, the
better, up to a maximum of 10. As a minimum we will need you to post test items at one post box and one of any of
the following: post office, or sub post office, or sorting office.2HELPLINE: 0800 015 3150Email: postalsurvey@research-int.comThere is an online lesson called ‘Register a new post box’ to take you
through how to complete all your posting point information. In order to
complete your posting point information, you will need the ‘Letter Box
Number’. This can be found on the front of the posting point you wish to use,
as in the example on the right. The letter box number is in the bottom left of
the last collection time tablet. This information needs to be entered online
prior to completing posting details. Each posting point reference will only need
to be input once, as the system will retain the information for future use.5. Completing the Online posting Information
You may want to complete the online lesson for ‘View posting plan and
enter sent items’, prior to entering your first sender item details, in order
to understand the requirements of the online system.
6. Receiving Test Items and Completing Online Receiver information
What you have to do – Receiving• Look for your test initials on all the mail you receive. If you find an item of mail with your test initials on, this
means it is a test item.• Complete the online receiving information daily.• Place received items in return envelope.• Attach a barcode provided with your labels to the back of your return envelope.• Return all test items weekly.
You will receive various types of test items which you will be able to easily identify as they will all carry your test
initials. Most test items have a piece of paper inside showing a Reference code which will be used to enter the item
online. Please open ALL test items to look for this Reference code. Some items with no Reference code will
require a blank yellow label provided in your pack. A code will be generated online for you to write on the label,
when/if you are unable to match the title/issue to those displayed on the system. These are postal items from
places like banks, utilities, mail order catalogues, direct marketing companies and publishers of subscription
magazines.Training is available for entering a received item, with and without a Reference code. You may want to
complete the online training prior to entering your first received item, to be familiar with the system.
7. Updating Holiday InformationIf you are going away, please remember to let us know. We will be able to arrange for you to have no items to
post, and a smaller number of items to receive. Let us know when you will be away at least three weeks in
advance. Less notice will unfortunately mean that we are unable to reduce the number of test items allocated to
you during your holiday period. Online training is available for updating holiday information.
8. Query ResolutionIf we have any queries regarding any of the information you have entered onto the system we will contact you via
email or telephone or using our online query facility. You will receive further information about the query facility in
the coming weeks via e-mail.9. Online Training – Getting StartedWe have created some online training which will take you through the different tasks available on the Internet Data
Entry website. When you have registered on the website, go to the training area, where you will find all the lessons
mentioned within this document. To access the training area log in with your username and password and click the
login button, on the bottom right-hand side of the screen a blue button marked ‘training’. Click on the button, which
will take you to the training page. Follow the tasks on screen. We suggest you watch the ‘show me’ for each
lesson, before using the ‘train me’ option. All the lessons have ‘help guides’ that can be viewed online and also
printed out.0 -

Does this mean I don't need to log received "training" items? These are the ones that arrived in a big white envelope, probably direct from Royal Mail.

The ones that you register online, will have a piece of white paper inside them, with a sticky label attached, ususally saying at the top:
Receiving Panellist:
And the label will say something along the lines of:
RXXXX
1st
and your postcode0
