Just another note about postsage costs - as you will have seen in other people's posts when a book is going to sell very cheaply the amount you spend on postage can make a huge difference to the amount of money you will make.
I pointed out the the Post Office padded envelopes are expensive, another poster suggested the pound shops are good but there is one last point, not all padded envelopes weigh the same, hunt around for lighter ones, the bubbleliner is going to be the same but in some the paper exterior is very thick high quaility paper which you don't really need. So keep the thicker ones for heavier more expensive books, the thinner ones will be fine for paperback novels.0 -

Hi - i don't use padded envelopes - they cost too much - i buy huge rolls of bubble wrap - use a piece of A4 paper for first cover then bubble wrap as the outer - the roll costs about £18 but lasts me well over 8 months even though I'm posting 4/5 a day - just another way to consider - BBe ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

Yes, great tip - especially if you are posting any quantity. It' amazing how important it is to keep every cost you can to a minimum.0 -
No need to buy bubble wrap. When you shop at supermarkets collect the bubble wrap around the fruit. At first I used to ask the staff if I could have it, but they all looked at me as if I was mad. So now I just put it in the trolley, and use it for packing up the shopping.
Keep all your receipts for stationery, postage, new books bought, etc. You might be queried by the Inand Revenue.0 -
