Evil buyer

Hi folks.

Really peed off with Ebay atm.

Sold a beautiful men's shirt BNWT from M&S for my start price of 99p (disappointing enough) plus £2.99 for P&P so £3.98 total, the buyer received it the next working day, and is UNHAPPY with the purchase!!!!!!

The item arrived "creased and screwed up" she claimed (i pressed it gently before postage) and she exclaimed, i had "ripped her off, because the postage had only cost me £1.50" She was also annoyed because i had used plastic bag to package the item and reinforced it with parcel tape, she expected the shirt to arrive IN A BOX for the princely sum of £3.98 all in!! She said she had bought it for a birthday gift, and it was unsuitable now. I offered to refund her, but she has ignored this, just replying with more "its not on that the shirt was creased etc"

I can't get my hat on.

THEN later on this eve, i had another message from a buyer who had bought a BRAND NEW pair of nike football boots from me (£44 priced on box) for £13.50 who was unhappy because they weren't the boots he thought. He made no contact with me prior to bidding to check any details, and has asked for a refund, which i don't offer. I have said i will refund his bid price but not postage.

What do you think i should do if either of these people get nastier? I have 100% postive feedback out of 265 and think they may neg me!!!!

Any tips advice would be much appreciated!

Take a deep breath, have a nice big glass of wine, and accept that some people are !!!!!!!s.
I seriously don't know what is wrong with some people. Sounds like ebay is going up poo creek without a paddle anyway - I'd be very tempted to tell them to go forth.
    sympathies anyway.
  • Thanks Mozette!

I agree totally. Some people are just weird. I think she would have moaned if the shirt had cost her 1p.

Just had G&T, feel more chilled now! Thanks for tip!

  • For £3.98 I really don't know why you didn't deliver by hand and help them write the birthday card as well.
Ignore her, the postage was in the price she paid so if she did'nt like it she should not have bid.
As for the second, you're not a shop to buy things from on sale or return. IMHO he has no right to any refund at all.

If you think this is bad imagine when the new rules come in and they can neg us ad we can't neg them back for being TSFE.

I've one myself at the moment, bought an item last week on a BIN as a Valentines Day gift, paid by echeque after 2 days (fair enough). I explained it was an echeque and would need to clear so he/she suggested I refunded and he/she tried again. Another 48 hours went past and I've now just got a curt email saying that due to the time delays and stuff he thinks he/she won't bother with the purchase any more.

    Breathe breathe....

Oh dont worry,he/she will find an NPB dispute opened in a few days time.

  • I had exactly same problem with a new leotard i sold. You just cant seem to please some people these days £15 worth of leotard for £2.50 including p&p in wrapping and still not pleased. Its really annoying:mad:
  • Will we be able to write what we like after the positive feedback. Something like:- positively slow buyer and tsfe.??

  • Some people are just utter gits!!! I had one buyer complain that my packaging was crap - even though a fragile model airplane got to Sweden in one piece, yet Bjorn Again chose to leave my only negative feedback because he didn't think my bubble wrap, cardboard and brown paper was enough.

And yes, I did retaliate. Mwa wha ha ha!!!!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Neg them for their terrible attitude. People are so afraid of retaliatory feedback; I'm not saying that the measures eBay is taking are correct, but clearly something needs to be done.
