Tried to add an item to an order by creating a new order and them combining. Didn't work and Amazon charged shipping on the second order. Even though they had shipped it, they refunded the shipping costs immediately without any quibble as soon as I had informed them.

My sister bought a camera through Amazon. Had problems with it in India. They paid for it to be shipped back and swopped with another.

A couple of years ago I bought a set of CDs of The Hitch Hikers Guide radio programme for my brother's birthday. Because I saw them on special offer, I actually bought them about 4 months before his birthday. When he got them, they had the same recording on the 2nd & 3rd CDs even though the printing on them was different. I contacted Amazon and, despite the time that had gone by, they immediately sent me a new set. I was really impressed because I thought it had been such a long time they would say no. Great service.
