How do I access credit on PAYG
I had an old style o2 SIM in a spare phone, i tried to use it and although it HAD been used within 6 months and had credit O2 had disconnected. i rang and complained and they sent me a replacement SIM, I thought she said there would be £5 credit on it but looking at the instruction book it only describes how to top up.
Ringing O2 is so diffulcult i thought I'd ask on here first, should i be doing something to activate the card to get the credit (or have they just sent me a SIM, in which case i'll chase them for what they owe me)

hi mduk
the old sim that you had was it in an old c12 diga handset?? if so the sim that has been sent to you will be on the new platform ie talkalot or pay and go original. the new sikm does not come with credit but if you register by phone or text 21500 you will recieve 2.50 registration credit. you would of recieved a booklet with the sim which says get up to 5.00 free on your first e top up. what this actually means is that you get 10 % back on your first top up. the new sim that you have should have the 10% back for life bolt on attached and dont forget to text reward to 50202. o2 are also giving away free minutes!! if you topup with 15.00 every 30 days you will recieve 150 off peak anyone minutes 30 quid 300 mins. text talkalotmore to 21400.
hope this helps

OK, couple of questions please, what message should i text to 21500?
i basically want this phone as an emergency phone for the kids, the old one was great £5 credit lasted about 3 years! will this one be cut if i don't use the credit in a certain period. if that is hte case can you reccomend anythign that will give me a phoen for very occasional use please.0 -
the sim will stay active on he network as long as you make/recieve a call in a six month period. i would recommend a top at least every year!! there is nothing in terms and conditions to say that you need to topup but there is with regards to a call in a six month period.
hope this helps0 -
