I bank with Barclays and have had to do this a couple of times on my business account.I just phone Barclays up, answer a couple of questions and let them do the work.I did however have a lengthy dispute with an adviser once over the legality of this, but still got my money back.
Hope this helps.0 -
So what would happen if I was to take this route then? As the pc is still with me, would the bank claim the money back from the company and then I would be contacted for the PC to be returned?0
-
Personally I would write to the company and tell them you are rejecting the goods and will be doing a chargeback. This might push them to agreeing the refund any way.
Give them 28 days to collect the item. You could also phone them just to get the process of a refund speeded up,but still confirm it in writing.
You could mention a complaint to the ISIS aswell.0 -
Thanks.
What is the ISIS? They mentioned this in one of their emails.0 -
Hi,
Click on their visa logo on the left hand side of their website.
I have also noticed that the CAG have had issues with this company.0 -
They have that's where I got this idiot's email address. I forgot my details to log in there and post, just waiting on my password to be re-sent.0

Just thought I'd update on what's been happening with this company.
Well since I last posted we have taken them successfully to court, although they didn't turn up, and the court has given them a CCJ. The awarded us the full cost of the PC, plus interest and court costs, totalling about £450.
However, we have not been able to get any contact from them and had to take out a Warrant of Execution to get the bailiffs involved. We were told that they haven't traded at their advertised address for around 5 months, according to the security guard at the site.
We are currently still waiting on the bailiffs trying to get a hold of them at their registered address, which I believe is their home address. The costs are mounting up though :mad:0 -

Yes I complained to Trading Standards about that, who've been no help! They advised me that they're going into administration and the website may still be active as the administrators have allowed them to keep it open for a certain time:rotfl:0

If you paid by debit card or even better credit card you may get some of the monies back as the credit card company is jointly liable. Its different for a debt card but there is some protection0
