When to use the PAC code
Hi wonder if anyone can advice me.
My current contract with 3 will finish on 9 September. So I am hoping to phone 3 on 9 Aug to get a PAC code. I am currently on £25 Tarrif. Then also claim my 6 months half line rent from e2save.
Then I am hoping to look for a new contract maybe with 200 mins cross network and 50 text messages or so. Hopefully below £20 a month.
How long can I leave it to use the PAC code. I want to leave it late as possible. But if I use the pac code around 6to8 sept. will it be too late or not.
Thanks for help and advice

From what i understand a PAC is valid for 30 days from when it's issued. If you don't use it in this time you need to speak to your mobile provider who will re-issue you another one.First name Mister
Middle name Dot

You are issued with a PAC which will last for 30 days.
When a PAC is issued it also gives a 30 day termination agreement with your current network.
A PAC takes about 7 days to complete...
So here's an example.
At the start of month 11 you ask for a PAC, you buy another phone and give them your PAC. They will give you a temporary number for the 7 days or so, meanwhile your current contract is still active.
A transfer date is agreed, and on that date the numbers swap.
The only thing I'm unsure of is if your old network then issue a temporary number until the end of the month, or if you pay the line rental and get nothing out of it!** Mobile Phones.... I'm here to help **0 -
hi
Thanks for both of your advice, I am going to be out of country from 7th Sept to 27 Sept. Because I wanted to keep my number and wanted to sort out everything before I leave. I been advised by someone, best thing to do is ask Three to give me a Pay as You go simm when the contract expires with the same number. He said they should give you the simm free.
When you come back to the country, phone three and get pac code from the pay as you go simm. Then move to which ever network.
This way I am not wasting a months usege. So hope it works.
