Hi, Can anyone help me solving a slight conundrum with my expiring contract.

I'm currently with O2 via e2save and now want to start a new contract, i've got a PAC code to get the ball moving but have found the best deal for me is with O2 via CPW and e2save (i realise they are related companies).
My question is can i migrate to the same provider (O2) using the PAC code and could i even use it to migrate to O2 via e2save which is my current supplier.
(I realise a phone-call to them might give me a deal but i'm looking for one of the 10month free deals and they don't seem to be able to touch them for retentions) ???????

any advice would be greatly appreciated

  • Sorry you can't stay with the same network, PAC's only work to a different network.

If you really want to do this you could port to a PAYG sim of a different network then port back to o2 again. It's a bit of a hassle and long winded but it's best if you need your number & want that deal :)
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...

It sounds like your best bet is to talk to them directly and ask them to port your existing mobile number to your new phone, assuming you can't just switch the sim card over?

I had this recently with a customer and it was an "internal" process managed by the company.

    All the best

  • If you are with 02 and wish to transfer to CPW 02 is is classed as a migration as it is theoretically with a different service providor, so a PAC would be required.

If you was on 02 and taking a new offer with 02 it would be classed as an Upgrade.

I've done this loads of times (and am about to again!)... yes it's a pain but what you do is carry two phones around for a little while; one to receive your normal incoming calls on your original number, and the other to make outgoing on your new tariff.

b.t.w. it's just PAC as the 'C' stands for Code - and of course you wouldn't say porting authorisation code code! :p

But OP is with o2 CPW (e2save) and wants a new deal with o2 CPW so a PAC will not work unfortunately as this is the same provider. Only way is the PAYG thing I think - or just a new number.

They usually won't give an existing customer the same deal as a new one, you would need to ask what they can offer you on an upgrade if you want to stay with them continuously.

AH - I forgot to elaborate, get PAC, xfer to a PAYG on another network, and then get another PAC to migrate back in... that's what I normally do, and someone is usually willing to give out free PAYG SIMs
