I really need XBOX 360 Premium advice

Hi guys,
If anyone can help i would really appreciate it.

Basically, I would like to get an Xbox 360 to play football games on the live feature against my friends.

I have been told an Xbox 360 Premium would be suitable.

I have wireless internet (BT) at home and the hub is just outside the lounge door where the Xbox would be.

I would like it wireless, so I would need a wireless adapter?

I am just trying to basically figure out all my costs before i start buying stuff. Will I need to consider any more costs than these:

Console (includes controller)
Game
Wireless Adapter
Licence

I am a bit clueless about the whole wireless thingy so if any one can help ...!!!
Thanks

We have a wireless hub 2 floors up from where the xbox is used so there shouldn't be a problem there.

I *think* you have covered your costs :D

In addition to the console and the game you need:

    Xbox 360 Wireless adapter - ~£60
    Xbox Live Subscription

Xbox Live is around £40 per year.

Although, as with the wireless adapter, you can get it a little bit cheaper.

get a pro rather than a premium as i believe they are newer off the production line and less likely to suffer the ring of death. hmv usually have good offers, that is were i got mine. the xbox live subscription is £40 for a year but dont forget that you get 1 month free gold membership. you just go through the motions of registering on the console and when you get to the bit were you choose your membership just choose the silver one and it will then tell you about the free month. if you are already on the xbox forums dont use your username or email address from there because it wont work. i think they assume you are on xbox live before you go on the forum. it messed me up at first. if that is the case with you you would need to create another email adddress and username(gamertag).
  • In the same boat here matey...

Looking to purchase 360 to play Fifa 08 online with mates. Whats the difference between CORE, PRO, PREMIUM and ELITE Consoles? (Bar Price?)

I have only got £220 + £40 for LIVE atm... I only need 1 control pad?

    Any advice would be great!

I should get some kinda badge, the amount of times I've answered this question :)

    CORE / ARCADE

No hard disk. Arcade comes with 256mb memory card

    Premium / Pro

As Core, but with 20gb hard disk and headset.

    Elite

As pro, but with 120gb hard disk.

Basically the decision is how much hard disk space you want. If you want 120gb, you have to get the elite, otherwise get the pro.

If that's *literally* all you want, you never want to play any other games, play any Xbox games, use any of the DLC, etc etc etc - then get the Arcade system (I expect you'd get it for £220 max with fifa) , a live subscription (£35), a wireless adapter if you want it (£55) and a headset (£10).

(I'd recommend splashing out 12.99 for the play and charge kit too - stop it eating the AAs)
  • I would suggest the Pro / Premium - with the 20Gb HDD - then you can save music to your HDD and play custom tracks in some games.

You also get the wireless geadset included. I would agrfee also with the charge kit - they come in very handy

    Is this correct?

I'd not heard that, the premium always came with a wired headset...
