  • Surprisingly the size 14 i ordered on the 14th arrived this morning. I had received "an out of stock" letter about the size 12 i ordered on the 12th so wasn't expecting to receive the size 14 :confused: Very pleased with it though, looks lovely :j


    Well done to all those who got theirs, although it seems unfair that those who ordered first didn't get theirs :mad: ............strange system!

    Sent off another email today as never heard back from the other one and still have no idea if my orders from the 14th (the lucky day) are coming or not.

  • Hi! Well I ordered on the 11th and got my order cancelled, after seeing that people had ordered days after me, and received theirs, I sent an email to debenhams to complain.. I got this reply:

    "Thank you for your email

    On checking our records it appears when the order was processed this item was found to be sold out . No further stocks have been received from the
    supplier since you placed your order .

    We apologise for any inconvenience caused


    If you have any further questions or comments about the service we offer, please contact us - we're here to help.
    Kind Regards

    Debenhams Customer Services."


    I don't find that email answers my question at all, so i have sent another one back again saying:
    Thank you for your email. Still not happy due to the fact that I know of some people that ordered on the 13th and 14th february, and received their order. If there were no stock when my order was processed, then that means that the people who ordered days after me - had their order processed before mine! Can you explain your unfair method of processing orders then please?
    I am extremely disappointed and would like to know how this could have happened!

I am not normally bothered if I don't get bargains that i hoped for from here, but I think it is most unfair how they process orders.. surely anything you order from debenhams has the risk of severe hit and miss as to whether you receive something and people who order the same thing days later still get it! I have ordered from there several times, so am disappointed.
    I don't have much faith in them now tbh!
    They say that no further stock has been received since my order was processed.. so how did the 14th feb people get theirs then? :confused: hmmmmmmmmmmm! I will let you know what happens with my query!

    What a copout! I am not asking them to reveal any details about anyone else that ordered... I am asking them to explain their unfair processing of orders system!
    They are obviously keeping schtum on this one... should I send another email? I just think they are fobbing me off! I wasn't particularly mad at the begining - just disappointed but they seem to be totally ignoring my questions! :mad:

    has anyone else had any joy from them if they contacted them? x

    Pesky- I completely understand your frustration. It's almost worse being ignored and fobbed off than not getting the item in the first place! It makes me very cross too. Keep us updated if you decide to email them back...I have a feeling you're not going to get anywhere but I suppose it's worth a try.

    Update.

    I ordered 14s on the 12th and received cancellation letters on the 14th so ordered again as they were showing as in stock online and lo and behold I got them yesterday so all this about no stock after the 12th is blatantly bull. I emailed twice and never received a reply pesky and the phonecalls I made all got different untrue answers so I understand your frustration.

    Good luck sorting it.

    Just in case anyone is interested....

    i replied to them again after my last email... i said:

    " Dear Sir/Madam.
    I am sorry, but I am still not satisfied with the outcome of my enquiries.
    I am not asking for details of other peoples orders - I am asking you to explain your unfair processing of orders.
    So, could you answer these questions honestly please?
    Are peoples orders processed in order of the time/date they placed their orders?
    If not.... WHY?
    I feel like I am being 'fobbed off '
    Not happy atall.
    "

    I got this reply today:

    Our stock levels fluctuate on a daily basis as they would on the high street taking in to account
    any returns.

    However, our website is not a llive system and would not immediately reflect this.

    No further correspondence will be entered in to regarding this matter.

    So a wall of silence now.. telling me they won't answer any emails now i presume!
    I still don't think their orders system is fair, and I resent them not just saying "yep, sorry, we cocked up and we don't process orders in order, but we will do in future" or something along those lines!
    They have completely lost my custom forever with that attitude and joke of an online ordering system.

    Its not even about not getting the item anymore... its their CRAP customer services and lack of customer respect.

    I am really cross!!! *breathes deeply*

    not letting this go! emailing back to tell them I want my emails to be passed on to someone of importance- i want the organ grinder - not the monkeys!

    Hi all..slightly off topic, but Debenhams don't seem to be responding to my emails and I was wondering if anyone has an alternative 01/02 number for their Customer Services which is an 0845. I was charged for items they told me were out of stock and it's annoying that I'm having to chase them up for money so unfairly charged on a ngn :(

    Any help would be much appreciated!
