I have a Sony-Ericsson K510i which keeps telling me that I've run out of memory.

I've deleted all the spare files I can, but can't seem to make enough room.

Question is:

is it possible to buy an sd or similar card to boost the memory?

does anyone know how to delete those horrid t-mobile files (pics & sonds) that I don't use & take up most of the momory?

thanks

Diva:)

    by debranding it;)
  • The k510i doesn't have expandable memory unfortunately. As for getting rid of the t-mobile files, it is a case of debranding the handset, which is basically changing the firmware for the generic sony-ericsson software. I know people who've done this for other SE phones themselves using their pc and a data cable and it's apparently fairly straightforward. I assume the k510i can be done the same way but you'd need the computer, the cable, the right how-to guide off the web, and the right software. Plus the confidence to do it as it can wreck your phone. Probabably your best and safest bet is to phone your local (reputable) phone shops and see if they can do it. If one is an authorised SE repair centre then they'd def be able to do it.
If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.
