£6 Filter Coffee Machines at Asda & Argos

A Bodum cafetiere would be a much better investment, and you can usually buy Fairtrade coffee reasonably. Asda had 2 for £3 on some lovely fairtrade coffees for ages. We also use one of the little coffeemakers that you put on the hob, but it's a bit of a hassle if you are looking for an alternative to instant. Beware though, since starting to drink real coffee, I have been unable to drink instant (perhaps because it is about 4 times stonger and the 'hit' is bigger!)

I bought a(the?) cheap Asda 1 a few yrs ago coffee was good until the coffee maker started piddling all over the kitchen. Don't keep it warm for too long ,drink your coffee asap , stewed coffee is horrible.

I know this an old thread but I'm looking for a cheap coffee press and the two listed are no longer available. Any ideas?

Do you mean like a cafetiere? M&S have 1 for £7.50, I'd have a look in your local supermarkets too.
