sorry about the funeral yesterday. Hope you are feeling better! Are you sure that 2 coffees will get rid of the hangover or are you one of those lucky ones that don't get a hangover.

Yeah, I'm lucky...dont get hangovers. Just feel dreadful before I go to sleep, dont sleep properly and I'm just tired today. However, I have made a start on the kitchen. DD loaded the DW the other day and stuck a jar in it. The label came off and its in bits so I cant use the DW until I've cleaned that  So I've hand washed loads! I've had a chip butty and now want something sweet. I may have to make some HM hob nobs :D

Pigpen, I think I know where that house is :rotfl: sure we've driven down that road, sending positive selling vibes, but, why do you want to move when you've done so much to the house you are in? Remembering when you were on about moving and how much you hated it...just a thought however.

Right, doggies are back, they hate me but they smell nice :D starting to brighten up here a little thankfully as the miserable grey was making me feel the same.

Got oodles of studying to do but tempted to have a fling in DS1s room first before he gets home (I did my room yesterday so ner!) , Mother dearest staying on Sunday to look after the boys and I still can't get his futon out yet...hmmm...or do I make him help tomorrow night instead....could do one hour tonight before swimming I suppose. I have done a fridge sort through/rescue to the freezer aswell, sorted another unpacking box and 'moved some junk' into the understairs cupboard, but I still also have one tins cupboard left to tackle, hmmm, maybe later :o

Oh and horray, DP at dentist at 3.30pm!!!! He might then have nothing left to moan about, his toothaches starting to drive me insane and hasn't been working as much because of it, so he's bugging me instead!
One day I might be more organised...........

Oh yes, must agree it's a great way of decluttering, I decluttered morning until night when we moved, now we live in a bigger house I still struggle to fit everything in, so really should have decluttered some more, bother!

Speaking of which, I am not getting much done while online so I best switch this off and get some more studying done, or decluttering, decluttering makes me feel better than studying so might do that instead...

  • Hey everyone,

Mudbath - sending lots of good vibes and best wishes your way

    DustyKitten - Happy Birthday!

Pigpen - I wish I knew how kids get over losing a pet - we lost out 2 dogs 2 and 3 years ago - last Christmas when the school were raising money they had the kids draw pictures to be turned into photo gifts. For ds's class it was "my family" so he drew his family but Jasper and Dinky were there too. I didn't see the proof I just ordered the placemats - so when they arrived I was in floods of tears! OH was like "he still thinks about them" and I reminded him that they talk about them all the time... I don't know what my point is - apart from the support you are giving lo's will help them to deal with the loss - so stop feeling like there is more you should be doing!

Samphire - We were in a similar position - our youngest was 3 in November. Last year she showed a few signs of being ready to train but FIL was ill and we didn't have the time. So around her birthday we tried again and there was no co-operation on her part :rotfl: we gave up. Now one of her favourite parts of the day is when we pick up the big one's from school - so everyday when we were walking up the lane I would mention that the big girls put their no1's in the toilet (I don't know if this was a good thing or blackmail - but it was so she could associate something she enjoyed with something she was ready to do) So 2 weeks ago I took her nappy off - left her pj's on and told her to tell me when she needed to go (btw potty in our house is just a toy - never been used!) From then she has been in pants during the day - 3 accidents and this week I have been brave and taken her out without a nappy on and she has been fine. She is starting nursery on Monday (same situation - has to be toilet trained) although at 3 the staff will expect accidents. Also lo seening other kids going will help them improve. Another thing that we do is we dish out marbles for good behaviour which go into a jar once the kids have 10 they get a treat. lo was so impressed that she got a marble for going to the toilet and can easily earn a sheet of stickers in a day! <<< hopefully there might be something helpful in there! sorry it is so long!

I was right yesterday - got caught in a heap of traffic - missed the bank got into town and dd1 needed to find a toilet- there are no public toilets in town arggh! so ended up going home without a V card for DH. So plan today is go into town collect blazers, get card at 3. I am going to do lists for Mon, Tues, Weds for the rest of the week beacuse bedrooms aren't bad just need linen changing and I can give them a proper blitz next week... ok off to finish the shower and then see what is left from the lists... less waffle more work - I know!

Happy Birthday Dusty - have a fabulous day!

Tori - thats lovely, hope you enjoy them xx
    Pigpen - hugs xx
SSLass- sorry about the funeral, hope your hangover clears

Been out to mums and got DS back in bed. Had an interesting nappy situation to deal with that made my wimp of a father heave! LOL

Made DH some shortbread for Valentines day before we left, we aren't doing gifts just the meal and hotel later but at least I can give him something.

Really looking forward to going out later, bit nervous for leaving DS but it'll be fine. It'll be so nice to be able to have a drink or two or bottle and not worry about having to get up early.

    See you later xx
