  • Evening everyone.

Mudbath big hugs to you to help you through tonight and tomorrow. Least you can distract yourself on here and facebook - both excellent thiefs of time. Thank you for nice comments about my Mr Chuckles. You can see why i thought it might be nice to have 2 close together.

I've had a nice time at my parents - didn't get as much help as i hoped, but then again, not anyone's fault as mum and sister were both quite busy.

Mum made me laugh - she offered me dinner with them at her house, which i declined as i had bought a pie from the farm shop the other day - she says to me, oh - i thought you would have made your own, which was highly comical to me as they were eating supermarket bought pies with chips from the chip shop. :rotfl: I don't know if she realised how funny it was, but i didn't want to offend by pointing it out.

Also, DS slept from picking him up from nursery to me waking him at 4pm, in that time i managed to get a scheme of work ready (now only another 9 to go  ) And the little man was so worn out he went to sleep in the car on the way home from parents, and he is in bed again without problem from 7:30ish tonight. Definitely not 100% but i think it is teething and a growth spurt.

Anyway, DH watching torchwood - that really is not my thing, so i will be perhaps doing a bit more school work for the next 30 minutes as i have exhausted my internet based procrastinators. Nice herbal tea, then bed at 10 i reckon.

    Night.

    Evening lovely ladies.

Easy day at work again and going in late tomorrow 9-5 instead of 8-4 as littlemeister didnt want to sleep over at Grandmas so means I have to wait for OH to come home from Huntingdon and then I'll have to take the car in (not moneysaving at all as very thirsty the way I drive it :o )will miss my usual lift.

Have phoned little man in Austria as its middle of the week and I'm missing him. He was all on his todd as XH and his mate and mates nephew have all gone down the pub and DS was feeling all snuffly with a cold poor baby, but he's having fun

Littlemeister's in bed in a strop now after we had a tiny row (cos she lost a pair of earrings - couldnt remember where she put them when she was flying :rotfl: )
She did ok even tho I kept finding her in front of tiny pop  fer goodness sake, and as for hiring her out I'd love to but she'd mess up more rooms than she cleaned. Good job I didnt give her a well done for tidying her bedroom as it looks like daddy did it!

    Evening everyone!

First, hugs for you Mudbath. I'll happily witter on to keep you company (which may well keep me away from flying...) if you like.

I've only quickly read through the thread, so will scatter some general hugs in your direction - please catch one if you can make good use of it!:grouphug:

I had quite a nice time in London, although the journey up was detoured and delayed by half an hour. The show didn't seem to me to be quite as good as it has been in the past. There were some gorgeous displays of snowdrops, but not all that many for sale. I went prepared to fritter happily, but came back with one small primula, double blue, and a French magazine from Smiths in the station! Still, a day out, and no flying - although I did do the weekly shopping straight after the school run.

hex - hope that you enjoy the sarcococca, lovely plant, horrible spelling.

Tomorrow morning I'm working, but gardening this time, and then will be back flying in the afternoon - if I can remember how to do it! First day of halfterm too.

    Welcome to all the newbies!

Thanks Michelle - my two are 21 months apart and I've never regretted it. Oh, that's a lie...the day I got pregnant DD decided she no longer needed a sleep in the day! Nightmare. I could have done with this thread then!

I'm currently chomping through a plate of cheese and pickles, real comfort food, I may as well stink of pickled onions if they're going to be unpleasant tomorrow. Lol xx

If you found some chicken burgers in the freezer dated October 2006, would you eat them?

No I wouldn't pollybear but i'd cook them and feed them to someone else! How bad is that! Serena - I've always wanted to go. I've been to the tatton show but that's all.

No, but pigpen can probably send you some freezer surprise and fluffy onions to go with them:D

mudbath - I've been to Chelsea a couple of times. Once in May 90, very pregnant. The nice conservatory people let me sit in their gorgeous and extremely expensive show conservatory when I ran out of energy. I've been to Hampton Court once, on a very hot day, and raced round like an idiot trying to see all of it in four hours. I've been to a few of the London shows, and they vary quite a bit. I usually go on Wednesday because the Tuesday is absolutely heaving, especially the February one. However, Tuesday is the day when you can play spot the gardening celebrity! I belong to the Hardy Plant Society, and quite a few of them go, so I often bump into people I know. although only one today. I still feel full of cold and sinusy and headachy, so I probably wasn't in the mood anyway. I couldn't find any plants that I was looking for - ones that I needed, you understand, nor the book that I was after. Very frustrating, having decided to spend, spend, spend, and then not finding anything! However, the HPS are co-hosting a Snowdrop and Hellebore Day on Saturday in a local lovely big garden with lots of nurseries there, so plenty of chance to spend there I hope.

Just to be contrarywise here I think I would. If the freezer's been at the correct temperature all that time, as long as you made sure they were heated all the way through properly (and this might mean sticking them in the oven for a while rather than frying the little bugs haven't had a chance of multiplying - it's been too cold.

But I like Mudbath's idea of feeding them to some else:D
