I had planned for ours to go on CC repayments, but AA renewal (got it reduced when i pointed out i never use them and could get it cheaper by canceling and re-signing) and the new DD for home insurance will take care of that! Depending what state the joint account is in at the end of the month, i might divert some to the CCs then.

  • Having to live off it, unfortunately.

Planned to use it (£102 a mth) into savings account to use later on for car tax and MOT, but OH lost his job Monday, so we've had to budget it into monthly costs, with putting a tiny bit away for the car stuff.

Hey CD, hope your OH gets something quickly. My husband was paid of on 25th Jan and hasn't been able to get anything yet. We've got enought money to get us through March but after that God knows what we'll do.

My CT was used to buy my full years car tax and next month will be used to pay down Next. By the end of march i should have it down to £250 :T

I wish you could opt out of paying it if you were skint, or even pay what you thought was appropriate.

I was going to ask for a re-assesment of my bill but i've realised that my gran, who stays across the road, is underpaying - it's not mw e thats over paying, so i've let it be just now. :p

Ive set up a transfer on the day it would normally be paid, to make sure it doesnt get swallowed up in the black hole of the OD. Its not going far, just from the current a/c to the savings a/c which is where everything gets syphoned into before it eventually ends up paying off a debt at the end of the month.
