    do do that you'd probably need to set up a local network and setup 'ICS' (internet connection sharing) on the PC with the router and modem connected. with this you'll have a local area network through the router and the internet shared through that pc's modem

    Well I tried everything, but to no avail :( i eventually swapped my router for a different one with modem built in, so i'm all sorted now.
