You need to watch the Doctor Who series 1 episodes "the empty child" & "the Doctor Dances".

Captain Jack is introduced in these episodes & in the first scene it is established that he is bi-sexual.

He filrts with a male RAF officer & Rose Tyler.

The Doctor later explains that in the 51st Century where Jack comes from they are a little more liberated than we are here......and how right he was.

Jack`s character doesn`t often lock lips on screen - in the first episode of Torchwood series 2 it is with a character that is his ex-boyfriend.

Also Torchwood series 1 was the highest rated series on BBC 3 ever, and Torchwood series 2 is the most watched on BBC 2 every week.

For the previous poster that asked - The works is a discount book outlet chain, currently discounting vastly due to being in administration.

Thanks for the advice meerustar, I originally thought O dear, another TSFMSE as they clearly hadn't read the title of the thread otherwise, why go into it? Clearly its within the rules as no mod or BG have moved the thread since the original gripe.

Shock value the publicity it creates is invaluable, lets face it the series is rubbish, Torchwood is supposedly run by 5 or 6 people who save the whole UK from all alien threats and the most unbelievable of all they are based in Cardiff.........trash!:rotfl:

You have got all your facts wrong there.

Torchwoods base is in Cardiff because supposedly there is a rift in time and space running under the city so it is a hotspot for alien activity hence the action is all set in and around Cardiff.

In Doctor Who there was a totally different Torchwood base in London run by a totally different set of people.

So, you see Torchwood is a large organisation and the current series with Captain Jack is set around the Cardiff team so it would be mostly around Cardiff obviously!

And are you going for the record of making yourself look stupid the most times in one thread?:rotfl:

Not to mention Episode 12 of season 3 of Doctor Who called "The sound of drums" where the Doctor is explaining how a perception filter works and says "It’s like when you fancy someone but they don’t even know you exist." Martha looks wistfully at the Doctor at this point and Captain Jack says "you as well?" ;)

I was lucky enough to meet John Barrowman while I was out and about yesterday, he was absolutely charming.

Oh and Torchwood is a brilliant series. It's television, for entertainment, not how do perform brain surgery in 10 easy steps.

Excuse me, have you seen a Blowfish driving a sports car?

can someone ask him why is all the gay crap in Torchwood? I'm not homophobic, but almost every episode, and totally out of the blue, he'll end up sticking his tongue down some blokes throat.

Nothing to do with the story, so why do it?

Almost every singe TV show has such things thrown in for no apparent reason, not for story line continuation or development, there's people constantly sticking their tongues down each others throat and it very rarely has anything to do with the story, it's there simply because sex sells.

But since you're not homophobic, I assume when other TV shows are brought up and you decide to comment, you'd ask 'what's all this hetro crap in *insert the name of pretty much all TV shows here*'.

Just ignore him 227bha, all he wants is people to react to him and his offensive posts from yesterday evening have now been removed. If people don't react he'll eventually get bored and disappear, that or be so outrageous in order to provoke a response he gets banned.

Yoda you really are a one trick pony, I believe the Nazi's tried to ban free speech before and during WWII,and also the Soviet Union, didnt work for them either from what I recall. And it seems that my comment about 227 BHA needing a plumber still seems to be there so your go at censorship dosent seem to be working, perhaps you need to move to N Korea you may get a job there as the "nice" commisar.
