Hi nuttygirl and welcome to MSE. I see Bahons2 is off-line but you're on-line, so, as the days are flying by, I'm going to take the liberty and answer for her as I know she so desperately wishes to break the 1,000 barrier if possible. It would be such an achievement for her and someone else already offered to put it on theirs and she said she would love it .....so yes please, I know she'd be so very happy!!!!!

Hi All

This is just a little update on the Lymphoedema Petition.
It closed with over 1,040 signatures on 27th January.
Everyone who signed will receive, in due course, an e-mail from the Downing St website containing a link to the official Government response. This may take a while.

When the response is ready, I'll also post it on here for those who didn't get the chance to sign. I'm not expecting anything seismic; more likely a load of weasel words, but at least 1,040 of us had the chance to tell them we didn't think what was currently on offer for lymphoedema sufferers was in any way good enough.

Congratulations on a great job done by yourself Bahons! 1,040 signatures isn't massive, but at least it's an amount that can't help but get noticed. All the very best for it to achieve the ultimate - which ought to be far better than is now. I'm so pleased you came on and put it here. Best wishes.

Hi again Bahons. I remember John starting the thread, although, to be honest, I had forgotten with you being here to keep it going. Thanks to John anyway, but still thanks to you!

I've already signed the new one, though couldn't figure out for ages why they wouldn't let me progress with it as "my zone no wasn't right". I finally said to my DH that I was having real problems ....and he noticed that I had my e-mail address on the country line!:o

Let's hope all who have signed here will now go onto signing the international petition. After Amy's bravery for doing her part in all this, surely we too can all do ours!
