Vodafone launch cheaper Intl roaming calls

Vodafone have today launched Vodafone Passport. This enables users to pay a fixed fee of 75p of per call, and after that they will pay the same rates as if they were at home.(It only works from certain countries).
If the customers have inclusive minutes left they can use them.So a twenty minute call from Sydney to the Uk would be just 75p.(Cannot be used in conjunction with the stop the clock promotion).
Vodafone PAYT customers with voice pack minutes can also benefit from this service.
A step in the right direction. I wonder how long it will take before other networks react, if ever.

Thanks pricefighter, I was wondering when it was going to be launched. A more direct link is:

The rate only applies to voice calls from the listed countries. Data and texting rates remain extortionately high.
As you say, it's a step in the right direction.

despite me mentioning it to Martin a couple of times, he chose not to include it in his article yet, but wait for release
he even deleted my post about the date, so apologies for not telling you sooner
in other countries, other operators have reacted by lowering tariffs0 -
Actually I wrote something on this on Thursday - however I was in the other side of the country filming and it will go up in the article today. It's also linked to from the tip.Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.
