I bought one of these from Argos, and took it to my mate who can unlock anything (almost) with cables etc., and he said these are imposible to unlock....unless 3 give you the code, which i doubt they would do Keep away from NEC :-/

It looks as though i'm stuck with 3 then !!
Does anyone know how much it costs to get the code from 3 ? :-* :-/

the only reference I found to the unlock suggested a fee of £115 to '3'

If you haven't activated the SIM, Argos will give you a refund. I ended up taking back the one i bought because i couldn't unlock it. I did use it with my 3 contract SIM, and it's not a bad phone except for battery life.
