Easyjet or Ryanair?

I'm happy with quotes for both but who would you choose? I'm leaning towards easyjet but any advice would be welcome (constructive!).
Thanks :D

You are going to get people with negative experiences on both ...

My vote would be for Ryanair. Friendly crew, have never been late (but often early!), and airports which are convenient for me.

With Easyjet I have found stroppy crew (including one with only one English speaking person!) and delays ranging from 20 mins to two hours.

Which has better timings/ location? I would base it on these factors.
    Gone ... or have I?

Agree with dmg, they are both much of a muchness, base your decision on timings and locations (assuming the cost difference is trivial).

One point I would make is that if things go wrong, easyJet would probably be slightly more helpful than Ryanair. Not much better, but slightly!

if the price was exactly the same, and location was much of a muchness i'd go for squeezyjet.

nicer/newer planes, more generous hand luggage allowance (important if not checking any in).

these reasons and a general overall feel better about them though.

  • I would say Easyjet too. I have never had a problem with them & always been pleasantly surprised. Only used Ryanair once, and if there is any problem whatsoever, they just don't want to know. Easyjet may be no better in that situation for all I know, but Ryanair seemed particularly uncooperative.

It really depends where you are flying into e.g. Venice

Ryanair fly into Treviso - a shed in the middle of nowhere, and you are pretty much tied to their useless bus transfer to get out of there.
EasyJet go into Marco Polo which is the main airport in Venice with all bus and rail links. I would go with EasyJet to Venice by choice everytime.

Moral of the story: CHECK WHERE YOU ACTUALLY LAND.
  • I've flown with both and had no problems with either. The worst delay I've experienced was 1 hour (easyJet) so nothing major. If prices were similar, I would choose easyJet as their staff have tended to be generally more helpful and friendly.

    Easyjet for me too.
Reason 1. Very generous hand baggage allowance
    Reason 2. I don't like Mr. O'leary
Reason 3 Anything to wind up dmg24;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

whatevers cheapest and closest to u and destination.
  • Easyjet everytime! Nothing wrong with ryanair, but if given the choice I would fly easyjet as they seem to care marginally more about not !!!!ing you off. And they don't sell scratch cards. Or 'gift items'. Why don't they just call them presents!

But the price is they key, my 'margin of irritation' would be about £20, i.e. I would pay £20 more to fly anyone other than Ryanair!

    Easyjet for me as well.

They fly to the main airports rather than middle of nowhere like Ryanair

    More generous baggage allowance

I have had no problems with Easyjet but numerous with Ryanair
