My local post office had loads of the different colour lids. I sent mine off almost four weeks ago and haven't heard anything from them, will give it another couple of days before contacting them.
Has anyone actually received the goody bag yet?
This is what is in it by the way:
"The goody bag contains; a Smarties Finger Twister game, a Smarties book, a Smarties mug and two Smarties Hexatube packs. There is no cash alternative."

So looks like it will be worth having especially as it contains more smarties!!!

I have just spent a very productive morning after dropping off my kiddies to nursery thanks to this thread....instead of doing the work I should have been doing I've been to Tescos and bought 4 packs of Smarties for the lids. Sadly I hadn't read the whole thread which mentioned to steer clear of the multipacks. Ho Hum. Anyway, at home 20 minutes and 24 orange lidded smarties packs later I trundled off again to my local shops, only to find that all 3 of them have stopped doing the tubes already. I didn't give up though and found about 50 of them at Spar - only bought 12 though :D I'm going to be sending them off for my 2 and some friends children as a little surprise for them, so there'll be 6 happy chappies soon with any luck!!

Btw - does anyone like the new pack design, or am I just being overly sentimental in my dislike of it?

PS any suggestions on how to use 36 packs of Smarties welcome:rotfl:

    36 packs of smarties

Well personally I'm all for the lid off tube, tilt head back & pour in mouth solution!

But smarties go with and in anything!

    My favourite is smartie welshcakes
although smartie fairy cakes are good as are smartie refridgerator biscuits.

Smarties on top of a bowl of ice cream tastes good too

ummm wonder if my kids have any hidden in their sweetie boxes??!!

I'd love to do the lid off and pour in mouth, but I'd still like to fit in my jeans tomorrow :D

Trouble is, as I'm sitting here "working" (can't really get away with that one when I'm on this board!) I've got 12 tubes worth sitting in a pot in front of me, with all the lids in envelopes....

Just for anyones interest - 12 tubes worth fits a bowl that's 4 1/2" diameter and 3" tall very nicely. At one point I considered doing a smartie count to see how many you get on average in a tube (yes, I am that bored), but then I ate all the orange ones I could see on the top layer so I've ruined that idea now  :D
