DSmiffy wrote:hey Sparky you are very lucky, did the packs have the special offer flash on the outside? I have been to woolies and tesco's, both had boxes full of about 50 tubes of smarties with the special offer printed on the box, but all the tubes inside had orange lids. I think these are going to harder to find than we think.
Hi DSmiffy.
They didn't have the offer on the outer packaging at all. I wonder if the multi packs are more likely to have the special lids.
I'll be going to Waitrose early next week to buy some, if they have the special lids I'll be more than happy to send you some. (The lids that is) Lol.0 -
I got some today in a Tesco Extra - I bought the 4 tube multi-packs. You can't actually see the colour of the lids as the packets are not see through, but I was fortunate enough to get some.... The tubes are all individually sealed inside, so I suppose if you want to make sure you could have a very discrete peek0

in th t&c's, it mentions about red, blue, gold, green and pink, and says standard orange are not accepted. i have a white one too and wondered about it - after all, its not standard orange is it?0 -

Oooooo!!! thanks very much Sparky61, that would be great. I can swap you for some coupons if you like. I'm going to get a pack from Tesco's too though and see if there are any in there, you can't see through the pack though so fingers crossed for when I open it.!!0 -

Got some from woolworths 5 for £1, only a handful of special lids, all the others were the bog standard orange.
Absolutely gutted about Paul Walker - RIP xx0 -
Went out and bought a 4 pack from kwik save, all orange, went out and bought a 4 pack from safeway, all white!
I still haven't travelled 5 miles to Waitrose but i pray they have some there, I can't keep getting all these smarties lol.I Love Gwar.0 -

A good source (round these parts anyway!) seems to be Superdrug, so maybe try there. Trouble is, they have (non-qualifying) "6 for 4" multipacks on offer, and every branch I've been in has very efficient assistants who point out the offer - and make you feel a right lemon when you explain that it's actually the coloured lids you're after
