That's a good recipe without the ground rice. :T

Sometimes the ground rice method can make the cake mixture a little stodgy. Or does that just happen to me? :o

Yep - it's because they are using frames.

Anybody visiting to pick a recipe always gets the main recipe page and will need to click on the links on the right hand side to reach any given recipe that they want.

And thanks for the quotes Rikki but unfortunately full cut and paste quotes like that infringe copyright so could you please remove them from your original. TYIA :)

    Edit:- Thanks Rikki :)

    I'm in frangipangi heaven :)

I made a basic bakewell tart (from the recipe on the bero site) and after the first twenty five minutes cooking added a layer of frangipangi (from the banana bread link) and cooked for ten minutes more.

Let it cool and then iced it.

    Wow!

The bero site says a seven inch flan dish - but knowing I was going to add extras I did it in a nine inch one. Perfect guess :)

I love the way that sometimes a single post can give so much pleasure :)

    Yum yum yum yum yum.

Well I did the one that Pen Pen posted and OMG it was amazing.

I have bought myself a little note book to keep all my tried and tested recipes in and this is going on the first page. Going to make a large bakewell for pudding and several little ones for hubby's pack lunch next week !!!

    I also iced mine !!!

Next time I'm going to make sure that I have some 70-80% chocoalte handy and drizzle a spider web effect on top[ of the icing.

That would make it an exact copy of the "Belgian Frangipangi" cake that my village shop no longer stocks.

The sad things is that I've completely run out of ground almonds and ground rice, have no rum or amoretto, and only have three slices of ny cake left.

Next shopping day... three WEEKS away! <sob>
