Has anyone else had trouble with the illuminating voucher from mag not scanning? Both SAs who served me tried in every possible combination to put it through but it wouldn't scan! (SAs in London Colney are absolutely lovely! especially lady on Clinique - Danielle I think and girl upstairs Gemma)
On sat the SAs had to override the till for me each time (by putting the illum powder through as beauty and charging £0.00) when I got:
1 x P&P gift set
1 x gwp
1 x illum powder
I used:
£5 off no 7 voucher
75pts WYS £10
free illum powder (from mag)
total = £15!
(and a new £5 off voucher!)
Did this three times
Thanks to the OP about this P&P set...SuperKeenMoneySaver Snr was so happy with it she told me to go back and get more lol!
Yup, I've had the same problem with the Illuminating powder voucher not working and the SA had to put the "magic key" in the till, scan the powder and then input "Boots Coupon £10:25" to subtract its price from my total. Shame she then wouldn't let me have the GWP and £5 off - "you haven't spent enough"! Grrr - you'll see from a few of my posts about this that I'm not a happy bunny! A bit of consistency in voucher use would be helpful (so long as we all get the deals, rather than all not getting them!:rotfl:)0 -
Boots Glasgow
Shop 1:-
Spent 5 pounds on 17 plus GWP
Spent 20 pounds on sanctuary 2 GWP and 2 3 pound savers
lots of reduced stuff including bottles of vitamin E body lotion for 25p
and a new 5 pound voucher
No no7 illuminators so didnt bother
So, did you manage to get 2 Sanctuary GWPs and use 2 £3 vouchers in one transaction? Didn't think you could do that - thought it was one gift per transaction - well done!
Shop 2:-
Spent 5 pounds on 17 plus GWP and 100 points
no7 lipstick, lip liner plus GWP
no illuminator though
and another 5 pound voucher
Did your lipstick and liner come to £20 for you to get the GWP?
so how did i do?
Fab, IMO!!

im loking for a consensus with all you ladies (and gents), my question is what do you do when you are finished with your boots mags only this is my first month and im finding i have collected loads already i am asking all you bootsers if you will stand with me and join a pact to ensure that we recycle all our used boots mags???
Protecting our pockets and our enviroment!!!
Whos with me????
Lets here yay or nay??

I've had several mags this month cos of the Powder voucher - don't usually use the vouchers in H&B, what have I been missing out on?! - and I'm lucky cos we have kerbside recycling here so all paper gets recycled. Can't imagine putting paper in the bin now, aren't I green!!( with envy at some of the glitches you experienced Bootsers have managed??):T0 -
My 250point no7 vouchers would'nt go through - did 2 lots of transactions in Oxford street with the Stay Perfect mascara - I love it! Got the GWP, didn't spend more to get another voucher - spending too much as it is! Just need to try and exchange my mascara (selotape sealed), and thats it from Boots for a while, got enough to last a while!~*Cerenia*~

It doesn't say. Sorry.
Anyone know how much it costs to do an eye test at Boots?
Edit: saw on their website that it is £20 for an eye test.
Eye tests are free...or at least, mine was free last year and I'm not in a concession group. She said the rules have changed again. Or is that only in Scotland?
Edit: Yup, just looked and eye tests are free in Scotland. I'm pretty sure they won't give me 1000 points on a free eye test, lol...or would they?Val.0
