"Need to 'fess up - it was me who bought the last p&p set in Cheshire Oaks.

I was feeling withdrawal symptoms and I had a sanctuary £3 coupon burning a hole in my pocket, so on a whim I just nipped into Cheshire Oaks as it's only round the corner from me. When I got there I found I'd forgotten my voucher - doh!!!! and that's when I saw this lonely p&p set all on it's own, I know I've bought three as presents, but decided to treat myself seeing as at least I did have the pink no7 £5 voucher with me.:o

So sorry about that, it was me that ate all the pies (ok the P&P) :o:o "

Well, I'm sure you deserve one for yourself if the other three were all for presents. have you got 3 "mothers" to buy for or are you getting stuff for Christmas??!!It's a good recommendation for the set that you've bought 4, cos even though they're good value, they're not cheap,IYSWIM! Couple of questions: did you buy all 4 from C. Oaks and did you manage to get GWP and use £5 off No 7 each time? Hope you enjoy your set - I've never even tried the P&P before (and have got 3 Time Delay serums from the last £5 till split cos they are supposed to be very similar) but I've set my heart on getting one for my mum and one for me. Plus my friend who looked for me in COaks wants one for herself, so if you could leave 3 for us next weekend, that'd be great!:cheesy:

I promise I won't buy anymore and as soon as I see them in, I'll post on here immediately, girl guides promise.

I was the one who first posted about them and put the picture on. There were loads in C/Oaks when I first saw them, I didn't realise what I was starting:rotfl:

I had bought 2 from C/oaks for Mother's Day, but an elderly neighbour who I'm teaching IT to was very ill last week and it was her birthday and I knew she liked p&p as I'd introduced it to her when it first came out, so decided to give her one as a pressie. I replaced that with one from Chester and I have posted about how they didn't know anything about them but eventually found 40 in their stockroom.

What I've done each time is to use the £5 off no 7 and 250 points vouchers, 75 points from ACM and get the illuminating powder.

So to my mind they have cost me £15 cash - £3.25 in points = £11.75 and a new voucher for £5 off no 7 and as well as the box I have the £33 worth of gwp and the £10.25 worth of illuminating powder and as the same size serum alone is £16.75 is definitely a bargain. People with £5 pc vouchers have gotten them off as well which has brought it right down to £6.75.

To redress the balance I've just had an unsuccessful shop - tried to get the sanctuary gwp by buying one and getting the other free, but it kept bleeping, after 3 SA's got involved and there was an argument over whether it should work or not between themselves. It should and they let me have it eventually, but I tried my arm to get the £3 off and they weren't having that, and I also tried to get a Jemma Kid makeup bag with the £5 off voucher, but they weren't having that either, even though I did say I got the R&M makeup brush with the voucher in Chester, they said they probably did it as a goodwill gesture (they didn't, the SA just didn't read the voucher properly and over rided it).... so I laughed and said " what, no goodwill gesture here then?" but I obviously caught them at a bad time...... then the SA asked if I'd like to pay the total with my points as I had enough, so I thought result as I know I've used a 75 point wys and a n017 2 for £5 solo eyeshadow voucher - so I said yes please, but the till beeped and the senior SA came over and told her why she couldn't (which I already knew) ......

so there you go, win some, lose some, but I will keep my eyes peeled for those P&P sets for you and PM you when I spy them.

    Hi everyone:)

I couldn't find any reduced Q10 but got 400 points for Nivea Anti-wrinkle Q10 plus Cleansing Lotion which is £4.99 so not bad for me lol - (I'm such a novice). A bonus was the Nivea facial wipes that were reduced from £3.19 to 80p ....! (Prospect - Hull).

Also managed to get the GWP and highlighter by buying 2 x Mens no 7 stuff at £6 each, and 1 x Fish Platinum 20 Eau de Cologne on 1/3 off, so down to £5.99 from £8.99.

So all in all, in that one transaction, got:

    Highlighter ...£10.25
    Mens No7 post-shave balm ... £6
    Mens No7 anti-friction shaving gel ... £6
    Fish eau de Cologne ...£5.99

Handed over: 250 No7 points from previous GWP
Then £10.25 voucher from H&B magazine
Then £5.00 off No7 stuff voucher
Then 50 points voucher from ACM

Actual cost ...£12.99 (Should have been £28.24)
    Points ...336
And another £5 off No7, R&M etc voucher.

(Hope that makes sense? I really need to thank a poster from Durham whose post made a lot of sense to me, so will do that when I find it.)

As it was more of a spending spree for oh rather than me, repeated this 3 times lol. (Different shops though! ;))

BUT the best part of the day was when I spotted a lady with a P&P 30ml beauty serum in her hand.

She was trying to make her purchase up to £20 (and she didn't want any mens stuff lol), so I said she'd be better buying the £20 P&P gift set as it already contained the 30ml of P&P and had loads of extras. The SA's face, who was just about to take the lady's money, was a picture! - but she offered to get the set. (She also had something to say about me I'll bet lol).

The sad thing is - the SA could have done this without prompting from me couldn't she? But at least I made one lady happy lol. I won't be going back to that store on a Saturday for a while ;)

Plenty of magazines (which I forgot to pick up :o , the cucumber range was reduced to 35p again, but still no reduced wipes. There were some other reductions, which I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll post again if there was anything worth noting.

Received the Sanctuary GWP by buying the Mandular Treatment Set, so both sets cost £12.50 in total.

I know I spent more than I could have to get the extra points etc, but I really enjoyed seeing those points add up, and getting loads of extra gifts for Christmas & birthday hampers, and presents :D

At this rate, I'll soon be a fully-fledged Boots tart :);)

Sorry for the long-winded post but hope it helps someone. I've just looked at the thread and there's loads of posts to read ..... woo hoo :D

    Hi Passion:D

The No7 was it at their counter. I was in today and it was the other SA on:rolleyes: She says less tham the other one lol.

Noticed the cucumber range plenty of it. Also in clearance was some Dove shower creme, some other shower stuff Bio(something) Palmolive etc. Last time I got cucumber wipes I paid 99p can't remember how much they are:rolleyes: Had o/h with me so had to be quick today:eek: I got some Boots handcream for 11p.

Glad you had a good shop

    CUCUMER RANGE

I saw a lot reduced today, but apart from it being reduced are there points on this product range?

    Today I got:

    Two No 7 Mens products
Highlights Powder Free With Voucher Mag
    FREE GWP

Total to pay £12, gave in £5 off No 7 voucher. Total £7.00.

Did see the Q10's reduced but did not buy as £3.40 and am slowly kicking myself lol!!!! There was 5 there this morning!!

I tried to use 250 points with No 7, but SA was not having any of it. Should I have given it in first?

    Thanks

And well done to everyone for some brilliant shopping today. My husband said no more, even when i showed him how much free stuff we got. He said well who you going to give it to then. Why can't they see its a good thing.

I went in today with my highlights voucher. I put my card in machine and it was giving 100 points for no 7 dream lash mascara. I bought the mascara and got the points and highlighter powder free. (normal till not no7) As it is youngests daughters 15th birthday soon thought both okay for her. I then went to no 7 stand to spend the £5 and chose her an eye pencil. Handed over the pencil and £2 coin. The assistants were cutting out the highlighter vouchers from the mags and she gave me another powder different to the one I had just got. So I have 4 things to put in gift bag with my daughters present. I also went in later and they had added some more clearance things to a small shelf. I got travel first aid kit 50p , small pack of wipes 10p, venus divine razor with 2 blades £1 and pack jazzy emery boards for 50p so did okay today

Did you not get a No7 GWP pink box too?
  • Hiya

I love this site - just found it the other day and have been getting bargains already as I am now eagle eyed for bargains :-)

Went to boots today and got some right bargains, I bought some clothes for my baby girl which were on sale at £2, £2 and £5 (the £5 one was originally £18!) and some baby porridge for 95p and then got to the till and it must have either been an error or also did the 3 for 2 clothes offer and it came to £5.45 :-)

I then went later and got a No7 little blue and pink make up case which has about 5 things in it (including mascara, eyeliner etc) and it should have cost £6.50 but came up at £6 and then I used my free £5 No7 voucher so only paid £1 :T

Need to 'fess up - it was me who bought the last p&p set in Cheshire Oaks.

I was going to have a good look around Liverpool boots on Thursday when I went over to meet a friend for lunch, but was summonsed back to look after my nephew, so didn't get chance.

I was feeling withdrawal symptoms and I had a sanctuary £3 coupon burning a hole in my pocket, so on a whim I just nipped into Cheshire Oaks as it's only round the corner from me. When I got there I found I'd forgotten my voucher - doh!!!! and that's when I saw this lonely p&p set all on it's own, I know I've bought three as presents, but decided to treat myself seeing as at least I did have the pink no7 £5 voucher with me.

So sorry about that, it was me that ate all the pies (ok the P&P):o :o:o

Sam, I hope you've found your card now. I left my acm card in the machine yesterday when I went to get my 75 points on spend and the staff knew it was mine while I was queueing before I'd even noticed - they prolly thought here she is again, the voucher queen hee hee!!
    Hi Pinkytots,

Well I went along to Cheshire Oaks anyway and came out with nothing! Q10 was all in new packaging so full price, no P&P sets (you beat me to it pinkytots, lol) and no magazines! I did try to return some cleanser, toner & moisturiser which hubby bought me for xmas (no good for my skin unfortunately) and the No7 lady was really lovely and said I could exchange them and mentioned the GWP too. I asked her about the P&P sets and she said they'll be back in next week. I tried pushing my luck to get a gift card instead of an exchange but she was having none of it, never mind.

Also tried the small Ellesmere Port branch and again no magazines or P&P sets (didn't think they would have these as they're so small). Q10 was in old packaging but still full price  . I got 2 lots of phone £10 top ups and said I'd like them seperate but the SA still put them together so ended up only getting one £5 No7 voucher

Last try was the Bromborough store and they had no mags & no P&P sets. Q10 was out in both types of packaging and both still full price  . Ended up just picking up 8 packs of xmas gift tags at 10p each.

Thoroughly disappointing Bootsing Session, think I should stick to the early morning sales!

Only good thing is that I did manage to get a new code from the ACM for .com. Its for 500 points on a £50 spend, don't think I can post it on here so I'll stick it on the codes board in a minute.

Plenty of mags but the SAs had hidden the highlights powders:mad: (but I found them!!):rotfl:

Plenty of SAs willing to do the No7 mascara/highlights/GWP glitch for £5.50!!:j
