A nice SA story, and how I enhanced my Bootsing karma....

I was in Musselburgh Boots this afternoon somewhat reluctantly...six year old daughter loves looking at the testers, ho-hum. Spotted the reduced shelf so ambled over to have a look...lots of Soltan etc reduced to £1 per bottle, yeah, and on BOGOF, so 2 for £1!! Grabbed eight bottles (plenty left, and more, including tanning wipes) and went up to the main till. As I was waiting I heard the lovely SA tell the lady in front that no, she didn't want to be buying a single bottle of P&P, she wanted the £20 round gift set, because she would get the pink GWP as well as all the other freebies. And she could still use the £5 voucher.

Oh dear, lady did not have a £5 pink voucher. So being a kind soul, I offered to give her one of mine (of the eight I seem to have collected) and she could give me the one she was going to get once she paid. Which she did, and the SA said I was a lovely person. Which I am, of course.....:p

So it was my turn to get my eight bottles of Soltan for £4, and I laughingly asked her if there were any more caches of good reductions around in the store. Yup, sez she, and pulls out a big box of about 20 of the big pink Soap and Glory sets they had for Valentines Day, reduced to £5 from (don't know...how much were they??). Small daughter was over there like a shot at the sight of a pink box, so I bought two, one to share with her (I get the black body polisher, apparently) and one for the gift stash. And I got a £5 pink voucher with my change....

So all in all, a sucessful days Bootsing. (See earlier post from this am.) I helped two people get bargains, and I got lots of great bargains myself. What's more, I've made a mental note to get down to Boots Musselburgh a bit more and increase their turnover when possible...that SA was a sweetheart, she seemed to be really enjoying the looks on folks faces as they grabbed the rest of the S&G sets (all gone in under five minutes!).
Ooh :D i mentioned in an earlier post how i would love for the S & G valentines sets to be reduced! Were they the 'Steamy Showers" sets? Pity im in london though, they probs wont get reduced here! well done with ur bargains though :D And it was very sweet what you did for the lady :)
    Gotta love a bargain :j

Yup, it was the Steamy Showers set. They had about 20, but these lasted literally only minutes after being put out though and that was in a small branch with about 15 customers in total in there. I think everyone there bought at least one! I've not tried the S&G Body Butter yet so figured that it was worth £5 just for that.

How much were they originally? I like to know how much I've "saved"!

They're still on.com for the full original price of £15, so £5 was a brilliant buy - well done, and enjoy!

hi have just been to boots and got couple number 7 things which came to £24 little one started screaming at this point so wasnt really paying attention but i handed over the illum coupon and the £5 off paid took the bag and stuck it under pushchair have just come home and realised i wasnt given the gwp has anyone else had this?

You need to take it to the checkout to be scanned with the rest of your shopping. They do not automatically give it to you. By the sounds of your post you did not actually hand it over with your shopping.

    Hi Daisy

I'm looking for a code too and followed this but couldn't find anything. I did use a code for £10 off previously and tried again but wouldn't let me. have used this before so not sure I can use it again.

I have tried to use the browse facility on the discount board but it seems to be down so i can't give you any codes fom there myself.

    Sorry hun x

hI Sam , I have noticed that I frequent the same stores as you, have you seen any mags around lately to get the free No7 illum ? There appears to be a shortage of late?

    :A
    Hi Amelia's Mummy,

No Mags in Bromborough, Ellesmere Port or Cheshire Oaks. Haven't tried Birkenhead yet though.
