  • ??????? That is so typical of that store. Must have either got someone covering from another store :rotfl: or maybe they were distracted by my dd being there and had a moment of weekness!

Must confess I thought the SA would return saying like 'the No7 lady says you can't have the GWP AND use the voucher ~ and the extra points voucher is only valid on full size products!'

I think the trouble is they know me now and just say no. the sa even says back again? I did a few of the 6 for 1 of the No7 suncare items last summer then paid using £5 voucher so got 6 items for 50p (the good old days when they didn't bat an eyelid) so they remember me from that i think. When i looked back i saw the no7 Sa going over to the till i had gone to bet she was asking what i bought and what vouchers i used. So now i have 3 No7 vouchers to use and don't know what to spend them on as i don't get to go to a bigger store derby/notts as son goes to pre-school and couldn't risk not getting back in time. think i will have to treat My dh with the mens range.

Is it just me who is really uncomfortable with this talk of purposefully buying things for the points then taking them back in store?? Im not one to say dont do what you want to do but please dont shout about it here or they may tar us all with the same brush and if it means an end to legitimate returns in store i know it may cause a few problems.........as i said, each to their own it just makes for uncomfortable reading :o

Have to say I agree, I usually enjoy reading this thread even though its a bit cliquey but I also think its wrong re buying for points and taking back. If people abuse it they will either clamp down on returns or set their systems to remove points automatically without the card.

I think everyone has their own personal line as to how far they will go in stretching the system tbh, and that's up to them. I'm not going to comment on this. But I do agree that some of the more "grey" areas such as this shouldn't be discussed out on a public forum, if only from the point of view that the Boots PR team undoubtably read this forum and will report back to HQ on what's going on. And then Boots will tighten up their returns policy as you say, and that's no good for any of us. "Forgetting" your card when taking a perfectly legitimate £2 bottle of shampoo back is one thing, but Boots might take a pretty dim view of buying big items for the specific purpose of keeping points. So lets just not discuss it here, otherwise we'll find they've introduced a policy of hanging onto the value of unreturned points in cash or something.
