Opodo - If confirmation email sent, can they not book it

Hi,
Last week booked a bargain flight with Opodo, tried several times and it didn't work - before I got to payment page they said there's been a problem and I couldn't book. Then my wife tried again and managed to book at the bargain price (500 pounds each to Japan with Cathay Pacific). We got the e-ticket confirmation and email saying we just need to show up at check in with reference number and passport.
Opodo haven't taken the money from my account and the price of these tickets have since shot up on Expedia, opodo etc. I'm wondering if I should give them a call, I'm worried they'll say, oh sorry the flight is full there was a mistake in the system so your booking is invalid and you'll have to book another flight which will be several hundred pounds more. Is there any response I can give to this to get the flights at the price I booked them at? There confirmation email makes it quite clear it's a confirmed booking and I don't need to do anything but turn up to check in on the day. Any help appreciated

who have you booked with..... most airlines, you can go on to their website, plug in your conf or e-ticket number and check your reservation there.....
it might be worth investigating that route, to find out if the tickets are fully booked, however, from my thoughts, with an e-ticket number, you have e-tickets and are ready to fly!!0 -
If you have no joy with the eticket number then try https://www.viewtrip.com and input your booking reference (6 alpha or numeric digits) and surname. Or the same with https://www.checkmytrip.com.
They will show your booking if it has been made on Galileo or Amadeus which are the main travel industry booking systems.0 -
I agree with the previous two responses. You could also contact the airline by telephone to see if your names are in their booking system. (When I bought a cheap ticket on BA by an unorthodox route, my booking reference didn't appear in their system until 24 hours before departure, although my name was there all the time.)
And it does take at least a couple of days for a payment to show up in your credit card on-line statement, so don't worry too much about that.0 -
Thanks for your help, I tried Checkmytrip.com and the reservation was there so that's put my mind at rest, thanks again0
