Sorry to hear that you have had an accident trying to save money, as someone else has said get yourself down to the local accident and emergency and get it seen too.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    How did it happen?

Surely you're making money riding the bike? The £20 will be earned back quite quickly - don't worry about it.

As you become more experienced at riding, you'll get the reflex that will turn your head slightly. You end up with a shiner if you bruise easy, but it hurts less. Yep...been there done that.

It will. What are you saving per week?

You're not a failure. You had an accident. Everyone has accidents - ever see a pile-up in the Tour de France? And they ride 8 hours every day.

Sorry to hear about your nose.

General advice with suspected broken nose is to wait until swelling goes down. If it looks broken (off centre) then then get referred to Ear Nose and Throat specialist.

An X ray now is probably a waste of time. Your nose could be broken but if it's not displaced then there is nothing to be done.
  • thanks guys. thank you thank you thank you!!! my problem now is that it hasnt stopped bleeding for two hours. it is bleeding a little, very very very little, but it hasnt stopped. really very little but why wont it stop????

i am saving a pathetic 25 a week or so....(plus debt repayments of course, min payments or more on everything....

i spoke to nhs again but they didnt really help, they keep telling me to go to a&e, thats not help..... gosh only if it stopped bleeding.

  • so sorry to here about your nose!

I often ride to work, i love it. It really wakes me up ready for the day ahead.

I would advise that you get back on your bike asap, the longer you leave it the less likley you will be to get back on.
I came off on sheet ice 5 miles from home once. Stupidly i was more embaressed that worried about my face!

Still love my bike though! :)
