Best PAYG deal? Changing from orange!

I have been with orange payg for years, more down to convenience as much as anything else!

I hardly use the phone I have, probably doing £5 of calls each month. I would however like an upgraded phone and possibly check to see if there is a cheaper tariff, and I want to keep my number!

Any suggestions?

usage please, text/calls, mainly to 1/2/3 numbers ?

Calls are to mainly to my (01..) landline and occasionally my gf's mobile. Texts are few but usually to my gf and the odd friend!

Edit: probably used for 30mins each month!

Tesco Standard Tariff. Calls are normally 20p per minute, but you can nominate 3 numbers, be they landline or any UK mobile network, and the cost comes down to 10p per minute. The same principal applies to texts (10p to 5p.)

You would spend about £3 a month.

Tesco Mobile uses the O2 network, giving excellent coverage.
