Ok tillymint, perhaps you could share how you have done this with us, so that earlier posters who have been less fortunate than you, can pick up some hints?0

Just used Virgin's website. Wanted to go on any Saturday for the day so managed to book tickets to go on the 8th March. Option to go on that day is still available on website with choice of trains from Preston to London and choice of trains coming back. I paid £35 return.0

I have the same problem with availability for trains in April. There seem to be no trains for my journey - I have searched all dates for the month!0

I have no problems finding tickets in February and March, even though 10 days in March (18th-27th) are excluded from the offer.
But I can't find any availability anywhere for any day in April. The offer is supposed to be valid for travel until 30th April. This is stated in the Daily Mail as well as on the Virgin Trains website.
The Virgin website "no availability" message is very unhelpful:No Response
We are unable to proceed with an availability matrix, due to one of the following reasons:
The promotional tickets do not exist for the journey entered
OR
Either the dates or times you have entered are invalid
You can either view bookings that are available with your chosen details, or change your journey requirements to meet the promotion conditions.
So you don't know whether to try another station, another day, another time... and you don't know whether the tickets are all gone, haven't yet been released or if the booking system isn't working properly.
There is noone you can phone up at Virgin who can tell you!0 -
Plenty of tickets on National express from a quick glance. weekend of Apr 25/26 from london to york return - lots of £8 seats!0

A mate of mine has an online subscription and sent me the form and coupons to print out. I'm sure it's legal

I'd be interested to know this too, I just found out about this offer today after buying yesterday's for the Debenhams tokens. I now can only buy today's which leaves me a token short. I used this offer last year and downloaded the form from the Daily Mail website which included a bonus token for one you've missed, but I can't find that anywhere this time0 -
I only read the Daily Mail on a Wednesday (for the financial pages) so today is the first time I have seen the T&Cs of the offer.
Certainly, the T&Cs my Scottish edition of the Mail makes it quite plain that the offer can only be used on CROSS COUNTRY TRAINS LTD services. That is the company which recently took over the former cross country routes which do not serve London (except for those routes running via Olympia) and used to be operated by Virgin (but not any more).
This may go some way to answering the difficulties previous postees have encountered.
Of course the English & Welsh editions may say something different?0 -
So, has anyone managed to get Virgin trains in April because I can't!
Have the vouchers finished now, what's in today's Mail? The collection card?0
