Cheapest way to get to the USA

  • And don't forget the Mastercard 15% off (excluding taxes/charges with AA). Also if we all continue to feel poor/credit crunch etc no doubt there will be more offers along soon. Certainly this year sales/offers on US flights have lasted longer/re-appeared more than the last few (and we've seen the delta and expedia 'glitches' netting some great flight prices too!)

. Found a really good deal on AA but dithering over where to go and I found it had gone up when I checked back.

Hi MOLLYBRUSH - have you had a loom at this post/thread - manipultaing the American Airlines flight computer

Using the methods on there I managed to finesse £170 off my ticket to Nevada/California with AA.
With AA, persistence is the key

Much as I suspect you post to be a spam message,

I put it to the test anyway.
It priced my flight in $$'s and it was $280 (or nearly £150 in real money) more that I would have paid via another carrier.

Use the site with EXTREME caution.

    in hindsight, its stompspam.gif

  • Just re-checked and it is up £100 on previous for me and two kids so not huge amount I suppose. If I could do this 15% thing, it might be the same as when I tried about 10 days ago. Will have a go and see if I can get it down again. As regards the credit crunch, I remember the days of the last recession when we used to fly to Florida for two weeks for £39.00 and stayed at the Clarion on International Drive when it first opened for about 20 dollars a night. Sigh!
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

I keep relooking at my flight costs for my upcoming holiday just to see how that fluctuates - and that can change upto £150 per ticket in 24 hours . Keep looking, keep looking and then when you find a price that you're happy with - grab it.

Have you registered with AA for notification of when their seat sales/4 day sales are on ? I'm not 100% convinced on some of their sale prices, but it costs nowt to register and may help.
